Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

Tell me that ship doesn't look like Millenium Falcon. I love Krait. :)

Phantom even more. Though they really missed the opportunity to put Phantom's cocpit on the right side of the hull. The shape and thrusters are good enough to resemble but not breach the copyright. :D

I am glad they didn't :) Every time I see the Millenium Falcon, it reminds me of a Blohm & Voss BV 141...

Maybe I am just a bit strange :D

Indeed!

"Karmaeleon" in "Predator Green".

:D

I feel an army of attorneys, readying cease and desists...

Hahah. Hey I love that plane. I have a softspot for all the oddballs and underdogs.
M.C. 202 is another one I love.

The "OCD nightmare" plane that had one wing a foot shorter than the other as they were trying to find ways to counteract the propeller torque roll by uneven lift. :D
Those planes are awesome.

And people make fun of the Elite engineers...

Well I had never come across that one before! Quite remarkable :)

Swear words.

Lots of them and very loudly.

The PC has gone severely bye bye so no ED for a while. Looks like the PSU has blown, just hoping it didn't take anything else with it.
:(

Could be expensive.

Wish me luck...

Ouch. :(
I've recently had a PSU dying on me as well. And it took the motherboard with it. That really sucked, but at least I've got a new rig, now.

Good luck with troubleshooting.

Cheers.

It's a €3k rig and, of course, the warranty has expired. The PSU is... was... a Corsair 1kw brick so it's not like it was being taxed too much.

And it'll have to be a call out: it's a two-man job to move. Those Corsair Obsidian 900D cases are huge and really heavy. Like moving an Anaconda, fully A rated, no stripped down mods and 1E unengineered thrusters.

Edit: just saw my typo. £3k, not €.

I'm too new for this and I've, on purpose, ditched all the "get rich fast" guides, so I have no Anaconda yet. With this approach, I hope to avoid reaching the "end game Anaconda" too soon and delay the "EVERYONE IS GETTING ANACONDAS FOR FREE AND THE GAME IS NOW EASY, AND THE DEVS SUCK, AND THE PLAYER SUCK AND EVERONE SUCK" rants wich, I know, I will inevitably end doing when the moment comes.

Pick either the Corvette or the Cutter as your designated end game ship and then play without doing more than a couple of missions a year, the time it will take to get to that rant will be much greater. If you must do missions select the reward that provides least reputation.

Hope your luck is good, but PSUs are very fond of taking other components with them.

Good luck also with the withdrawal symptoms.

If you can't endure it, any more, you can always just grab the HOTAS for a while, wiggle it around while doing spaceship noises. It helps, short term. :D :D

Jeez, wow...that's a serious rig for a Sirius guy!! I'm really sorry about that, man...I know I'd be so upset. Keep us updated on what happens next with this.
