Release Trade Computer Extension Mk.II

Hi!
Windows is up to date, with auto-updates activated. I downloaded the new version and manually installed it with Bitdefender down. Same behaviour (with new DB and transfered DB).
I think I will just continue using TCE as it is. It is a great piece of software and the few clicks at the beginning to change the opacity don´t distract too much. I will anyway update my trusted i5-750 in the comming months with a Ryzen 3000 so I have to change to W10 then.
Best regards!
:) CMDR laHorg

Version [1.7.4.3] released

Changelog:
- Fixed an error with star systems containing planetary rings at the Cartography panel.
- Fixed an issue with the star system map showing planetary rings as planets at the Cartography panel.
- Fixed an issue with finding outfitting gear at the Shopping panel.
- Fixed an issue with the icon for outfitting gear at the Shopping panel.

Notes:
Either download the version above, install and transfer your old database, or use the auto-update function of the launcher.
Click the 'new version' notice at the bottom of the launcher.

If you find an error, please report and use the Report a Bug button at the launcher and don't forget to copy the error details and ErrorReportFile.7z archive.

I like to remind any user, who wants to use TCE in french, spanish or russian to help in translating the
latest interface phrases, common commodities and rare commodities at OneSky. Thanks in advance.

For the life of me, I do not know how to use the Notes panel. Is there some documentation on how to use it? I thought it was a way to save a list of notes, and have it available as a general like list of things to do, or other stuff to remember.

The Notes panel summarize all logged notes of star systems, trade markets and locations for you.
You can search them by name or note content and you can update the note too. Click one of the buttons above the list (Name or Note) and enter the search text. Hit the Enter key afterwards.

If you are looking for personal notes, use the Personal panel, Notes tab.
There you can name each of the five category buttons by double-clicking the button name, if you like. Hit the Enter key afterwards.
The text field below is for your notes.

Ok.. That actually makes a little more sense now.. I didn't have any of those kinds of notes, so it was all completely blank, with the "Note" text box on the right that I was able to enter text into, but could not save it. I did not realize that there was a Notes tab on the Personal panel until just now.. That is probably what I am looking for. Maybe there could be another tab on the Notes panel for personal type notes, instead of being buried? Or maybe the Notes panel could be renamed to better reflect what it is supposed to contain?

I am pretty new to this and maybe this question is kinda stupid, but im a experiencing some issues with the shopping list function. If I add an element, it does not show me any destination, where to find this stuff, even i am on a Planet where this element exists (planet was detail scanned). Is there a way to get destinations directly from EDDB while using the shopping list funktion?

Cheers Ysh

Hi and welcome,

the answer is yes and no. For adding commdities, outfittings and ships, you can use the EDDB-Relay at the Launcher (Extension tab), where you can add markets around your current position (http://trade-computer-extension-mkii.wikia.com/wiki/TCE_Launcher) and/or update your current registered markets in database.

For elements, if you have detail scanned the planet before, check at the Cartography panel, if the planet data is available there, including the element deposit percentages. The location, where to find these elements on the ground is not available, you have to search after them yourself.
If you find a location, add it to the database, so TCE can guide you next time to the location back again.

HELP ???

Did you brought your database up-to-date after the creation via the EDDB-Relay at the Launcher (Extension tab)? Do it once a day before launching TCE.
Try to change the Data Age filter, so more stations will be in the pool of possible trades routes.

So I just did an update on eddb relay ive also set my filter in such a way it should generate something.

http://prntscr.com/mawpaf

http://prntscr.com/mawq2c

http://prntscr.com/mawq7k

Yet Still nothing I'm really stuck on why it won't generate anything I've tried messing around with the filters all ticked all unticked nothing

Okay, the Data Age filter setting is important here, because by updating your database to be actual, the relay will only updating markets, which have newer update timestamp at EDDB than in your database.
Change it to 1, 2, or 3 days and more data should be available to find a nice route.

The next thing is your actual position in game, which is the center of the bubble to scan for trades. Increase the bubble radius to 100 LY's to have more data available.

If all doesn't work, please send me your files by using the Report a Bug function at the launcher or the Options panel. I will check your database and look for the problem.

BTW, you don't require to rebuild your database everytime you update your database, it's only required, if you encounter false data for stations in your database. You could change them by hand or use the rebuild option.

Thank you for your help thus far, unfortunately, that didn't work either I shall report bug momentarily I was able to set market distance to 1000 however search distance seems to max at 72 http://prntscr.com/mb4sqs

Edit: I had a small issue with sending the file I had to upload to my Gdrive as the file was a little too large for email hope to hear back soon :D

Thanks for your database.

Found the issue, EDDB.io has changed the file links for their dumps, didn't noticed it.
