As to what I'm up tp - trying to keep in the spirit of things - I haven't had time to putter around the bubble much, but I just did a thorium source and return for a cool 8.5m. And my Viper III has just had its maiden voyage to how she corners. For some reason, I named her "Sulaco".

Edit: I want a "Nostromo" at some point too but I'm having difficulty wondering which ship would best suit the name...

T9 for the Nostromo with a Sidewinder for the thing Ripley her "friend" and the darned cat escape in that I forget the name of.

Well, I'm bumbling around the starter systems, having a blast. I'm quite shocked at how many folk I'm seeing in Sideys.
Game looks great, sounds great. I'll finish the controller set up later.:D

Seems like the matchmaking works to an extent.
Now that I've recently restarted I see different Cmdrs depending on what account I'm using.

It looks like my Fed rating dipped a bit during my forced sojourn. I may repair that although it's not a priority - the next naval rank is getting close though so the two may go hand in hand.

On my way back home - now a war zone, what on earth happened there? - I saw, zooming in the opposite direction, none other than Ford Prefect! I hope he remembered his towel...

You can actually have a lot of fun, paying attention to NPC names. Some are really awesome. :)

There is a thread somewhere with a collection of them in screenshots; I'm on a mobile device which isn't great for searching, or I'd go and find it for reference :)

I've seen "Dent Arthur Dent" kicking about as well. Though the first surprise name I came across was an assasination missn offered to me to remove the "notorious criminal" Michael Gove.... ;) :D

Hi all, just checking in. I'm close to Colonia again. I decided to head over there for a bit, maybe introduce myself to the Engineers out there.

I have an old Cobra still stored at Jacques station from 2 years ago, maybe I'll dig it out. I don't remember what shape it was in :)

I haven't seen any sort of civilization for quite some time. It's been peaceful, just me and my thoughts out here. I might stick around Colonia a while, and do some more exploration. Or futz with mining.

Anyway, here's a lovely ringed water world I discovered. It looks like it is sprinkling my ship with stars.
