I’ve done it, but only in the direction of Sirius.

It’s not good for the pait job to go out there. :)

Humans flew from Sol to Tau Ceti. And then Raxxla myth was born. ;)
Two Cmdrs might want to supercruise, one from TC to Sol and the other the inverse route.
First to stumble on Raxxla wins !

Did nobody check out the galnet report of a stealthy lunar base found by Fed Navy by its distress beacon?

It may be false news & not implemented in-game, but if it is then it could well tell us something about this station stealth technology (e.g. how close you must be before it shows up on sensors/fss)

There has been talk about it yeah. If by lunar they mean our moon then we know where to look, if not, who knows. I don’t believe it’s a base we can detect ourselves in game, so idk how much we can learn from that as far as how to detect stealth tech, since the moon isn’t landable, and we can’t discover a base there ourselves.

Any scholar can tell what bright star we can see from Sol when gazing at "the top of the MW" ?

*Briefly looking at Herr Professor-Doktor* :D

If the clues to Raxxla are meant to be understood by the proficient English speakers only, then I agree with you.
If not, that means what that means in every ED localisation. And I repeat, in other languages, nope, it's the MW.
Mother of all galaxies !

Going in that direction Gaea would also be a candidate, in myth she created the whole of the universe from chaos. Haven’t checked to see if there is a system Gaea, but if not the only thing that we have in game that is Gaea is Earth.

My point is considering "mother of all the galaxies" as being the apparently largest one.
As many people used to say, in a perfect English:

1. Saddam Hussain's reply to the coaltion's ultimatum was that 'if any army set foot in Iraq that they could expect the mother of all battle's'.

2. If you don't
get your finger out you are going to get the mother of all bollockings from the boss.

3. Are you going round to
Geordie's tonight? they say he is going to throw the mother of all parties.

The jewell that burns in the brow of the mother of galaxies

There is a difference, though, and it's the "all" term lacking. But not in every localisation.

FD inconsistencies transcend even the language in the game !
[haha]

Looking once more at the Alleged Toast of TDW:
The first two sentences begin with 'To...', suggesting that those steps - if indeed this is a way of finding either their base or Raxxla - involve a journey, but the third sentence does not. Perhaps 'the parent's grief' (note that the apostrophe indicates the singular case of parent), 'the lover's woe' (also singular) and 'the yearning of our vagabond hearts' are things we need before we can then make the final journey - to Raxxla.
.
These clues are all tricky to interpret because there are a multitude of mythological sources potentially involved. We're assuming mythological inspiration for the Toast but there is nothing in the Toast itself to confirm or deny this, so it is a risky assumption. Even using constellations is risky because of their Sol-centric nature.
.
My current thinking is that the first sentence is intended to lead to a particular system, although I'm a bit worried that this may be too simplistic but it's a starting point at least. I then interpret the second sentence as meaning that we need to make a hyperspace jump from that system. In order to get to Raxxla, we would then need the ingredients mentioned in the third sentence. These might be things we need to find or collect but I would not exclude the possibility that a data material could be one of them. Making the hyperspace jump in a certain direction - or perhaps any jump in any direction from the system referred to by sentence 1 - will perhaps trigger a 'misjump' or cause us to jump to the location of Raxxla.
EDIT: an alternative explanation for the third sentence might be that it is referring to the three primary Elite rankings, suggesting that once you reach the right location, a Triple Elite pilot can then jump straight to Raxxla.

Wondering if being allied with TShinrartaDW opponents is the best way to get a TRealDW invitation...
But in ED... who knows ?

The real mother of galaxies is dust.

Yep, and dark matter their nanny, which keeps them awesome and well fed ! :D

I have never shared any of the things I will share with you below until yesterday.

Btw, almost forgot your welcome gift !

In my humble opinion, this is the mindset, commitment and understanding of a CMDR who will find R.
A great read.
o7

I think we got that from your reveal post. It's like trying to get into the mindset of a kid (Braben), in order to figure out the cipher he invented, where common nouns and verbs are instead replaced with names of persons-of-mythological-interest. We have to become hyper-sensitive to "hmm, that's peculiar".

But there are two problems:

1. BUGS are also peculiar.

2. Not everyone wants to be that hyper-aware all the time. It's very similar to "not everyone wants the adrenaline rush of PVP all the time". You went crazy from it.

So it's a bad system to implement, really. Not "fun". Which is why, we're looking, but mostly half-; only a couple people have reached the level of autism / OCD required for the kind of search that's required. Which brings me to the third problem:

3. Putting in the effort, hyper-awareness, etc., doesn't guarantee success. You don't even know if you've succeeded.

Anyway, thank you again for that bit of info in your last post: Whatever Raxxla is, IT'S NOT LABELED AS SUCH. If you're deep into Greek mythology, you may think you're looking at whatever Greek deities correspond to it, but it's up to you to believe, or not.

So, TLDR:

1. Must be triple elite.
2. Must pay attention to odd NPC behavior or names, related to several pieces of Greek mythology that have been posted (thank you).
3. It's a long string of events that requires perseverance (and combat).
4. Raxxla is not labeled Raxxla. You may believe you've found it, or not.

EDIT: I'm not criticizing CMDR Guru 951, I'm criticizing the implementation of this "mystery", that is, the FDEVs or whomever decided to do it this way.

Thanks Scytale, I really love it, even if it lacks a 'I hate FSS' as the finishing touch. Would you be offended if I added it?
Also I am not quite sure on whether the underlying message isn't also wishful thinking, after all I do look great in it!
Nevertheless, seriously funny :) made me lmao!
Cheers

NP, Metabaron, add just whatever you want. Actually, I hate that stupid FSS too! Can't simply swallow it and so I stopped exploring.
I am now playing ED occasionally only.

Coma Berenices? And it alpha is Diadem. F-class dwarf with only gas giant with 7 moons. Very intrigued! ...as and many other theories...

I think we got that from your reveal post. ....

This was like getting into the mindset of a kid, in order to figure out the motives behind common nouns and verbs, replaced with capitalized versions and sarcasm, to find anything of interest regarding the topic of this thread. This was indeed peculiar, might have been a bug though.

Posts like this full of repetitions and off-topic ranting lead obviously to two problems:
1. Threads are TL and so people DR even though they might contain useful information: that is, finding clues to R is probably easier going off in some random direction in-game.
2. People don't contribute out of fear of such reactions, out of fear of being addressed as stupid, insignificant, OCD, etc.

So, it's a bad way to interact. Not "fun". Which is why we're looking, but mostly half (at this thread) ... Only a couple of people have reached the level of childishness to have to express their opinions on others as required to clutter these threads. Which brings me to the third problem:

3. Putting in the effort, hyper-awareness, etc., doesn't guarantee success. You don't even know if what you've read hold anything of value.

Anyway, thank you again for that bit of info in your last post. Whatever R is, it is not labeled as such .. now that was a silly statement.

So, to conclude:

1. Must talk in first-person plural to emphasize god-complex
2. Must pay attention to use CAPITALS to emphasize IMPORTANCE
3. It's just about repeating one-self to get just the proper length for a post and it's just about repeating one-self to get just the proper length for a post
4. Must use sarcasm to act like being on the right side of the line: left <void> right; as to revive the monochrome.

After all, once you wear the t-shirt without the proper amount of coffee, that just results in a bad morning. Hence, willing to live the life of contradiction.
Rant on .. Meh

To all of you who have something to say or contribute, how minor it may seem to you, and don't out of fear for such reactions, please ignore that fear since them are few in number even though their shouting makes it appear otherwise.

Now, back to the throttle!
