The Next Update

Personally, I'm guessing that there will be at least another update (and DLC) for Planet Coaster.

Also personally, I think that Frontier is focusing development mainly on Jurassic World Evolution, which will release later this year, and the Elite Dangerous 3.0 Beyond Chapter One update, which is to be released today.

I for one look forward to more features, rides and other content for Planet Coaster. :rex::face:

I hope so! [up] I've been hoping that they add a chairlift, more flat rides, and water rides ingame. [rolleyes]

I'm in with the "More Generic Stuff" crew. This includes more generic versions of flat rides too. Because I'm not a fan of having an Octopus in the middle of a Wild West setting [tongue]

As an addendum to my previous post, I personally think that Frontier is currently focusing on development of JWE and ED. If so, then they could in theory focus more on other games such as Planet Coaster once JWE and the ED Beyond Chapter One update are released.

How do you get 'something pretty big' from that? Updates to their internal build sure it means they're working on the game but it gives no indication as to what is coming and when it's coming. Either way the game/DLCs are making them decent money so of course the end is not nigh. Again I have no knowledge of this but hypothetically if they did go the expansion route for water parks (or any other form of expansion) then clearly that's something that would take time (far longer than any of the packs that have come out to date) and secondly they would hardly announce it in the middle of winter [cool] Also take into account over the Xmas/New Year period there would have been very little work on the game done over those several weeks so it may take a bit longer than normal for the updates to return.

I sure hope so Planet Coaster is planning on a big update. Maybe instead of adding 2 new flat rides maybe they can add 5 or 10 flat rides. I would like to see a all rides update or DLC.

I would love this, however an update with that many rides would take longer to develop as it has been stated previously that rides are quite a bit of work compared to scenary. We would have to wait longer between updates, probably for the same amount of rides. [ugh]

I would love for the flat rides to not have that obnoxious step-up. I've never seen any real flat rides that are designed like that. Not to mention that the peeps clip through the stairs when getting on or off of the rides. In my opinion, before they add more flats, they should get rid of that weird platform that currently exists on them, as well as shrink their platform size to a "realistic" size. Granted, some of the flats don't need anything changed to them, it's just a few of them that need to be adjusted and modified to look more realistic. Also, can we mention how absurdly tall the observation tower and some of the other vertical flats are, and the fact that we can't adjust their height? haha

Last year we get the Spring Update in middle of April and it was announced Middle of march during the PAX East Show.

PAX West started at the beginning of April this year (April 5th) and is a perfect place to announce a new update for us. And ... do you remember that we got the fantastic GoKart Ride with the last years spring update? The chances of another big ride (maybe the chairlift) are not so bad.

But I would also like to pay for a small DLC (like the ones last year for The Munsters, BTTF and Knight Rider) as a Ea ster Special with colorable eggs, chickens and easter bunnies animatronics, spring flowers and some blooming trees. Okay I dream on ...

I have no idea what you are talking about, and even if I did, I haven't noticed it.

Some rides have a double base, one at ground level and one elevated that holds the actual ride. The in-game version of the enterprise is a good example of this.

I saw that. Grrrr...we need so many other things in the game before we need dinosaurs. I must admit that I'd be disappointed if that is the next DLC.

Maybe they were trying to show that you can make your own dinosaurs now since they aren't going to provide them?

They had animated dinosaurs in RCT3, why not in PC? Jurassic theme in PC would be good. Although people have made Jurassic items like dinosaurs and other stuff. I hope they announce something soon either DLC or update.
