You guys.... this is ACTUALLY breaking my brain (and my heart) - everyone is so talented and doing such an amazing job. It's so hard to choose from all these incredible submissions![]()
I'm shattered, I missed the deadline because for whatever reason my PC disconnects from the internet when playing Planet Coaster. I couldn't upload it before I had to go to work![]()

This "contest" was a complete joke.
I mean no offense to any of the winners, their creations were very nice, but I know there were some later submissions that were much more impressive than these.
I checked the dates on all the winners' entries (ie, the date uploaded to Steam workshop) -- none were uploaded later than April 17. That was this past Monday, 4 days before the "end" of the contest.
I'll bet good money that the judging took place on Tuesday (April 18) and that you guys didn't even glance at any entries after that. Bo even said in the livestream that they would showcase the "later entries", which seems to strongly indicate that there were entries submitted after they did judging. So that begs the question of why even HAVE a "due date" of April 21 12pm (2 hours before the winners were supposed to be announced no less) if you weren't going to honor that deadline? Your "rules" say nothing about judging taking place earlier than that.
Now of course anyone could argue I'm wrong, and that the subjective judged just happened to favor these results -- if that's the case then please feel free to release the judging results for all 200+ submissions to prove me wrong. I would be very happy to see it. And for the record, this is not because I'm a sore loser. I did an entry, but I really had no expectation of winning. I'm only reacting because the winners were incredibly underwhelming to me, especially the #1, and considering the evidence I have strong suspicions the contest was not handled in good faith -- or at the very least, handled lazily.
Overall this is a sad case of community managing. And this right on the heels of the April update, that was hyped to insane levels when in reality was simply a "here's a patch of the things we didn't get into the game before release because we rushed to meet a deadline." No improvements to the game mechanices, and the "improvements" to the game interface actually caused more problems than they solved by introducing buggy and broken menus, and buggy behavior with the collision toggle.
In the end all I can say is I've been extremely disappointed with Frontier lately. And I say this believing Planet Coaster to be a great game, but it has the potential to be an amazing game with an amazing community if only you guys could get your act together.

The only thing I didn't like about the contest is that I don't think there was enough time.
My only regret is that the contest was only 10 days over spring holiday. I didn't have time to complete my track. There are many things that I would have liked to include in my design that I just didn't have time to finish. I also would have liked to see a week between deadline entry and announcement of contest winners.
It would be good to see a complete list of all submissions - I'm a little concerned mine wasn't officially entered as I didn't get any sort of confirmation from Frontier. I'm sure I submitted it correctly, and I didn't want to pester them but would have been nice just to be confident I was actually in the running! (even though I said a few times mine could never have won, it's not something that would make sense in most parks).
