The blueprints are on my workshop and the videos will follow soon on the Youtube thread ;-)

Good luck to all entries!

Here is my Go-Kart track for the contest. It would have been great to have a bit more time than a week. Spring Vacation really got in the way of this, but considering I had only a few days, I'm happy with my results.

You guys.... this is ACTUALLY breaking my brain (and my heart) - everyone is so talented and doing such an amazing job. It's so hard to choose from all these incredible submissions :(

Here is my track. Its called Glow Kart Speedway and has an interesting glow in the dark theme!

That's really, really good, love the idea of it [up]

Yes indeed! I knew the standard would be high, but really didn't expect it to be this high. Well I'm glad I have at least given you one less to worry about [haha]

I'm shattered, I missed the deadline because for whatever reason my PC disconnects from the internet when playing Planet Coaster. I couldn't upload it before I had to go to work :(

That's a pity [sad] But more competitions on the way I guess. Better luck next time.

Are you gonna make it before 2:30? [squeeeeee]

I can't wait to see who won :D I doubt it will be me, but i'm very curious who made it :D I will try my best to somehow watch the Stream on Facebook even though i hate this site's Guts.

If i'm unable to do it, i hope the Winners will be announced here too for the Non-Facebook plebs ^^

This "contest" was a complete joke.

I mean no offense to any of the winners, their creations were very nice, but I know there were some later submissions that were much more impressive than these.

I checked the dates on all the winners' entries (ie, the date uploaded to Steam workshop) -- none were uploaded later than April 17. That was this past Monday, 4 days before the "end" of the contest.

I'll bet good money that the judging took place on Tuesday (April 18) and that you guys didn't even glance at any entries after that. Bo even said in the livestream that they would showcase the "later entries", which seems to strongly indicate that there were entries submitted after they did judging. So that begs the question of why even HAVE a "due date" of April 21 12pm (2 hours before the winners were supposed to be announced no less) if you weren't going to honor that deadline? Your "rules" say nothing about judging taking place earlier than that.

Now of course anyone could argue I'm wrong, and that the subjective judged just happened to favor these results -- if that's the case then please feel free to release the judging results for all 200+ submissions to prove me wrong. I would be very happy to see it. And for the record, this is not because I'm a sore loser. I did an entry, but I really had no expectation of winning. I'm only reacting because the winners were incredibly underwhelming to me, especially the #1, and considering the evidence I have strong suspicions the contest was not handled in good faith -- or at the very least, handled lazily.

Overall this is a sad case of community managing. And this right on the heels of the April update, that was hyped to insane levels when in reality was simply a "here's a patch of the things we didn't get into the game before release because we rushed to meet a deadline." No improvements to the game mechanices, and the "improvements" to the game interface actually caused more problems than they solved by introducing buggy and broken menus, and buggy behavior with the collision toggle.

In the end all I can say is I've been extremely disappointed with Frontier lately. And I say this believing Planet Coaster to be a great game, but it has the potential to be an amazing game with an amazing community if only you guys could get your act together.

You're a very sour person. Just because you found the top 5 to be mediocre doesn't mean they are. I personally liked all of the choices in the top 5, they all looked great. They don't have to show you what they thought about every blueprint, you sound worse than the customers I serve at work.

The only thing I didn't like about the contest is that I don't think there was enough time.

The community is amazing, I've never been this involved with a gaming community in my life.
Congrats to the winners, hopefully I will be able to submit something by the deadline next time! haha

I submitted mine on the 20th and Bo called it out even though it didn't win. Their winning choices were great picks for the criteria they were evaluating and everything else fell short. It just so happens that those picks were submitted early rather than late.

Think you're being a tad harsh in your views in my opinion, feel free to give example of ones you thought deserved to win.

I really like the top 5. Congratulations to all of them. they are all very well done!
#1 has artistry abound. It is symmetrical and eye catching. From a distance it looks like a classical painting. Absolutely well deserved. I would wager to guess that there is some artistic theory used in the design. Tricky has amazed me with mastery of the terrain tools in previous creations and now blown me away the design approach for this particular contest. Using well thought out, user friendly design along with a masterful eye for artistry, detail and ingenuity. Bravo Tricky!

My only regret is that the contest was only 10 days over spring holiday. I didn't have time to complete my track. There are many things that I would have liked to include in my design that I just didn't have time to finish. I also would have liked to see a week between deadline entry and announcement of contest winners.

It would be good to see a complete list of all submissions - I'm a little concerned mine wasn't officially entered as I didn't get any sort of confirmation from Frontier. I'm sure I submitted it correctly, and I didn't want to pester them but would have been nice just to be confident I was actually in the running! (even though I said a few times mine could never have won, it's not something that would make sense in most parks).

And anyway, apart from my own submission just seeing all the designs in one place would be nice - unless there is a way to filter just competition entries via steam workshop that I don't know about?

Just FYI: I have gone through 323 official submissions from the start of the competition until the exact finish at 12PM on Friday. It was quite an overwhelming number to turn that into a top 20 which the team then voted on. The devs looked at originality, usability, ingenuity, and creativity, and also, from a dev perspective, had to make sure the winning blueprint was able to go in-game. I can assure you it was all very well done, and your taste may be completely different but for the purpose of this contest this was the absolutely 100% well-deserved top 5. To call that in to question is not nice to the winners who worked just as hard as all the other 318 submitters. We worked really hard on having some fun with the Go-Karts with our community and making sure there was an epic prize; the only ones we haven't been able to look at were any submissions that came in after 12PM that day which, as per the rules, could not considered.

I haven't seen a single entry that was lacking or not creative; it's been awesome to see everyone's work but again, we completely stand by our choices as they stood out for all the above reasons. We're proud of all of our creators but it is not possible to reward them all; this is why I then said, as a spontaneous thought on the FB Live stream, maybe we can show off some other submissions on another stream, just to showcase even more of the epic tracks people created. Because we are proud, and we think our community is incredible. Sorry for the long answer but to question how we handled the competition because you disagree with the top 5 is not in the spirit of this community we are part of together.

Any problems you might have with the Spring Update, I'd suggest putting that in the correct threads for the devs to see, as this is not the right place for your feedback. Any more issues you have with this competition, feel free to send me a DM.

This is definitely a good piece of feedback for our next competition, which we are already planning and will definitely give you all more time. Thank you for letting me know how you feel and thank you for participating. It's definitely something we've taken note of for the future ;)

Hi Deuce,
Thanks again for participating; I did see your entry and thought it was fantastic. Great contender for sure! I don't have the time unfortunately to individually reach out to every single person who submitted; I've been in touch with Tricky regarding the prize which is what we usually do.
