Overall not bad, but not a fan of all the excessive whitespace everywhere now. I'm on a PC, not a mobile phone, I -like- compact layouts not full-screen browser windows with excessive scrolling and huge fonts.

There's also a bug with the default colour scheme - authors and thread titles show up in the same colour as the background in notifications (sorry, didn't get screenshot).

None taken, it's just that this issue is so polarising, and pushes into the realms of eye health rather than just personal preference. Was it not at the very least erroneous to take this decision in the first place? Using the "Stylish" plugin, while helpful in the short term, is not in any way a solution since it requires access to data on any and all sites the user visits. Does this mean we should consider a separate browser just for the Frontier forum?

I dunno, I didn't agree with a few things, like having to use my game account to login here, the lack of personal preferences in themes, and some groupings of subforums for example.
I just want to be Elite again, I have only 2, here and exploration.

Deluminate extension for chrome will allow you to invert page to white with black text. Has quite a few useful options to dim or brighten annoying pages.

But you have already opened a high priority ticket with your vendor, haven’t you?

The trouble with white on black is that it bleeds, and normal fonts are designed for black on white. For white on black to work well, the fonts need to be adjusted to compensate for this.

Looks slightly bloated to me. Oh, and the oh-so-jolly Google Puzzle Solver. Please don't tell me I have to solve that every time I want to log in. I want to play Space Games, not bow to Googles kind-of-puzzle horror.

But: Please, please tell me that there is a filter funcion hidden somewhere that I can let the Newsfeed only display Elite:Dangerous new topics.

Otherwise, Rant Attack: You're not serious that all, I mean all content from all your three main games is still mixed in the "New Post" section?

I am not intereted in Yuppie stuff or, in this case, even Dinosaurs (sorry dinos), but in Elite. And Dinos and Yuppies make it hard to get to the relevant new posts -- and New Posts / Topics should be the way tpo access new topics, should it?

So please tell me there is some filter.

LOL, forum emails send the content in black-on-white. Really fantastic in my light-on-dark colourscheme of my email reader and the exact opposite of the viewing experience on the forum itself.

I guess XenForum follows the current practice of dumbing everything down to the lowest common denominator by removing any and all customisability. You get what you're given, and be glad.

Not a fan. Too many little differences that can't be altered. It wasn't broke for me. I didn't need it fixed. Can't speak for anyone else. Also, the "new posts" button is going to be hell to press on my phone now. Looks like it kept the other games filtered in my preferences.

Agreed, and there are plenty of other threads on this subject, so can we please have one setting that either covers the whole forum, including all sub-forums, or per-forum settings?

I also really struggle with white text on a black background, so would be very grateful if to get this change.

I can see that Paige has confirmed that 'it is what it is'. Sorry, but this is silly. Following threads that have been moved to other areas of the forum now results in a slap-in-the-eyes event where everything inverts.
