No reason to apologize....if I came across "grumpy" I didn't mean to do so.

WOW I'm glad I'm not the only gamer on here who isn't into social media sites like Twitter and Facebook. It always seems to surprise my friends when I tell them I don't have a FB account, they just seem to assume I do as I am an avid game player and computer geek (I build and upgrade systems for friends when health permits).
I do agree that it isn't exactly fair to make a gaming competition dependent on having a social media account but I do understand the idea that it helps promote the game. I'll just have to be content with the gifts FD give out to Beta and pre-order backers.
So how do you actually enter for a chance to win this stuff?
Twitter is the death of intelligence and a refuge of the banal.
I think they should use that ^ in their advertising, I think it's within their character limit!
Good luck to all who use it purely to enter the competition though.![]()
So, other than the prize draw, is anything else planned for these ten days? More limited items in the store?
Twitter is the death of intelligence and a refuge of the banal.
I am chatting to the powers that be now, to see what can be announced
If there is anything else you folks want to suggest to coincide with the 10 days, please let me know and I will pass it on![]()

Just MHO: The reason we're tweeting #Elite30Years is not because we want to win prizes (this is just an incentive), but because we want to support and promote the game, and celebrate the fact that this ground breaking game game of the 80's, is breaking ground once more 30 years on. I want to enable its further development and encourage my Twitter followers to do the same.
The more people who get into this fantastic game, the more FD can spend on development, the better it will become.
The Streamers (Twitchers?) have found one way, if you can think of other ways to promote the game, outside of social media, go for it, including small plastic vehicles and loud halers. Social media, like talking to your friends with your mouth, is just one possible approach.
Have fun!
