With regards to restock. Is it that server error? You can still restock. It just leaves 10 CR remaining, and those can't be restocked, but as far as I can see it doesn't influence anything but the display saying "10 CR". My seismic charges etc. are restocked just fine.

Edit: And yes that Conda is a mighty fine spaceship. I still haven't got a Corvette, but the Conda satisfies my needs way better than the Cutter or the T-10.

thanks I'll give it a go. I eventually got flying by finding EDLaunch.exe, the rest I'll try tonight.

Because of all the salt from the PVPers I tested this last night with frags against a Krait MkII. The effect lasts less than 2 seconds, if you are above 1/2 throttle it slows you down a little, if you are below 1/2 throttle it prevents you going above that and of course you can't boost. So I'm calling on the cries of it's too powerful already because if you can boost it's a non effect - FA off and boost which is generally what you'd be doing in combat anyway. Also calling on the claims it lasts 4 or more seconds and it's like flying 4,0,2, it's not, your speed is restricted to the blue zone which is where you'd be anyway if dogfighting, all you have to do is avoid getting hit again for less than 2 secs or you could fit a drag frag turret as well and then you'd be on equal footing. Quite disappointed that Fdev caved to the pressure of this noisy group. I hope they reverse it, perhaps with reduced boost as you suggest because as it stands the drag effect is so easily defeated it's pointless having it.

I've tried both "fixes" to the FPS. I've changed FX to none and Vsync to off. Out of game I get a solid 90fps. In-game, with those settings, I'm getting 22! I dropped on a nearby HMC and the FPS was snailing along at 14. Pre-patch it was at least a livable 65. Trying to land at a station with 14 FPS might dent the station, my ship, and the pilot. I think I'll just remain at idle out here until a better fix is found.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, I've only been viewing the outrage from the outside and haven't had a chance to play yet. But your argument of just add a frag turret and you're only restricted to the blue zone seems EXACTLY what people are mad about.

Using drag to counter drag (which would become the norm, hence the 'muh meta' argument) will just slow down dog-fights and use up a weapon slot and WEP power. Fewer weapon choices and slower fights are a bad thing.

Limiting the speed of a ship to the blue zone and stopping boost means you can't run away any more, this would ruin any pacifist play style, since you wouldn't be able to run you'd have to fight. And if you had to fight you'd have to have a drag weapon, see previous point.

From what I can tell it seems like FD had a design oversight with drag weapons, being to close to the issue etc. etc.

The 'Well I didn't have a problem with it' attitude that I've seen crop up here is like loving the smell of your own farts. It's not about you, it's about the community as a whole.

Nailed my play style to a 'T'. I'm not afraid to fight but my play style is very much the explore data/freight/mining style. I purposefully engineered my ships to be combat survivable as long as I can rely on boost in a pinch but I'm not looking for fights. If I can get jumped and have boost taken away I'm dead meat. Not my idea of fun to have myself, my ship, and my data or cargo spread all over the Black. If this drag munitions change means I have to re-engineer my ships into explore/trader tanks destroys my passive defense style of play. I'm almost 70, my reaction times will never match a 30yo's, so I have to rely on cunning and the ability to get the hell out of Dodge when I need to.

It’s is switched on and when I enter the new system, blue writing says throttle is disengaged, but I’m still not slowing down???

I must admit that trying to change the setting doesn't make any noticeable difference. I'm one of the crazy dudes who fly through a system with the hammer down, so I just disabled throttling down, but it still throttles down somewhat, and changing the setting doesn't make it throttle down more or less. Perhaps someone else can help us out here?

EDit: Btw. that was 300 ly of jumping to verify that. My ships have come a long way since the Sidewinder.

I have a feeling that if you have a HOTAS with a non-self-centering throttle, it's a bug. I fly a Hotas-X and hit the sun every time even with the new "hyperspace dethrottle" tunre on (or off, for that matter)
Either they have only tested it with self-centering joysticks, or haven't tested it at all.

Yep I also use a Hotas. Still, with a little practice I have become able to scoop without hitting the star, and it speeds travelling up considerably. It was one of my personal favorites about ED, and it still is. Sometimes I take the ol' Mamba for a spin, just because I like scooping at full throttle. I know. I'm weird ;)

I’d hardly call it salt over drag changes, but considering how long it took Fdev to do anything about hiliariously broken heat mechanics, it was better to catch this one early.

If anything, they should consider feedback from the PvP community more often when it comes to making changes to certain aspects, such as weapons/defenses. While we are the minority when it comes to overall numbers, changes to such things affect our playstyle far more than anyone else.

In this case, however, it was not only us, but the open play community as a whole. From the top end PvPers, to an independent CMDR just trying to get by without blowing up— this was not something we needed.

It’s pretty cool that Fdev responded to it as quickly as they did, and I appreciate that.

During a War/Civil war, the Law-rules stay the same for settlements, as they do for stations or not?

For example, you go to a settlement with low-security and you have 1 ship as guard/security hovering above it. Normaly the factions government type law applies to it.
Seems all settlements from factions that are in war, are now in Anarchy mode. Every settlement i visit, each ship is Lawless. This counts for Feudal /Corperate/Confederay and so on. Was this also in the past? cant remember to have seen this. Bug or No-Bug ?
