It was a comedy of errors on my part, which from the perspective of a noob I can see how it looked like I set him up for a killing. At this point, I think he prides himself on not taking free credits. I could be wrong.I'm not sure if serious, though

It isn't a pride thing with the money, its just that you cannot buy your way to winning in this game.
You could hand me the most perfectly engineered ship in the game and drop 100 billion in my bank account but it wouldn't do any good.
If you doubt that scan the surface of Deciat 4.
You'll find 3 new craters on the surface, two of which are scattered with the remnants of brand new Keelbacks (paint wasn't even dry on them) and a Viper MK III that I thought I knew how to pilot. I've been getting tons of [redacted] from someone I thought was a friend, comments like, "Hey, I see that FA Off is a real advantage" and so on.
So far arsenic has cost me about 100K per tidbit.

I agree that credits wont help. Yet, you can engineer your ship and extend survivability. That's how I did it. In fact, I stayed out of open until my shields, engines and armor were all G5. My skills are still catching up to my engineering level.

While the Blues Brothers are great I figured I should watch your videos too, OP! Had time for the Dropship/Chieftain fight. Had some questions.
Seems like the Chieftain was doing pretty well for itself until the amount of rams seemed to spook them. They backed off the aggressiveness and seemed to play right into the hands of your Railguns. Does that sound accurate?
How do you feel the fight would've gone had they continued to press the attack?
