FSS still broken

Yes, that was fixed yesterday, this is the after the bug patch bug report.

Why do I get the feeling that De-bugging ED is like the puzzle box in Hellraiser... You get some right and it breaks something else, then again then again then....AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
 
Honestly all I see in the video is your mouse sensitivity spiking with a corresponding frame rate drop. Probably cause of your recording software, what are you using to record Fraps? OBS?

Have you updated to the latest graphics drivers?
Happened to me on PS4 too - I thought I was imagining it! Glad I wasn’t.
 
When you see my reticle zoom across the screen.. It's not because I moved my mouse fast. I was moving my mouse slowly trying to center it on the star in the center of that system. The star in the center of the system was "repelling" my mouse.

It's got nothing to do with my deadzones.
Oh. Ok. Probably has something to do with the mouse. I use the axes on my Logitech Side Panel to pitch and zoom and never had this problem.
 
The FSS was working perfectly for me last night, not one issue at all.

I am wondering if it's a control issue. I control it using none traditional methods and it's fine for me.
 
Everything fine here, no issues, too. I believe Unknown Zombie though, this is no fake. If he would be the only one I would suspect a controller issue too (ED is known to mangle certain controller settings after each update, strange enough also only for some people but not all) but that's not the case. So there's no doubt something broken here.
I agree. I think there is an issue, it's just not effecting everyone.
 
This isn't new for me at least, I've experienced signals sometimes drifting away after the third or fourth zoom-in right from the day the FSS was released (PS4 player).
 
Can confirm I’ve had the same issue as OP (Xbox one), and trying to push magnets together is a very accurate accurate description of the issue. Last time it happened to me was before the patch on Tuesday.

It hasn’t been a common problem for me though, think its only happened twice. Wondering now if a quick relog would have resolved the issue or if simply moving into the system more would have helped. I just moved on...
 
I have had this occur on a few occasions, but (as I have a minor issue in my PC) I thought nothing of it (as I felt it was related to my PC, and I am going to re-work it soon). However, now I know it is also affecting other Players I will document what I have found about this problem so far.

The problems only occurs when there are Secondary Stars, and one (or more) of these Secondary Stars have objects orbiting them. These Secondary Star systems are not part of the Primary Star system objects (I have had occasions where a Primary Star has had a Brown Dwarf Star in its' group, with objects of its' own, and been able to scan ALL objects within the Primary Star group without the problem occurring).

The Primary Star does NOT need to have objects (other than those relating to Secondary Stars) orbiting it.

The objects orbiting the Secondary Star need to be close enough (in relationship to the position of the scanning vessel) so that the FSS would need to zoom in more than once (I have had a Secondary Star system close enough that I was able to scan all but two objects without having to move from the exit point of the Jump. The further away the Secondary Star system is the more likely the problem will occur.

Once I have got close enough to the Secondary Star system I will be able to scan the objects within. However, if there are still some objects that cannot be separated without zooming in further the problem will occur again, so I will need to get closer to the Secondary System.
 
And you wonder why companies have beta testing.
Even worse players pay for the privilege to beta test, how did that happen?
This engine and design has probably done it's time.
Too many devs moving of to better things leaving a rash of rookies trying to figure out what to do on dodgy code.
2020 is going to be Elite 5, this game is in hibernation mode until then.
 
The FSS is a messed up as the joke Fdev pull when announcing "exciting" updates like these that break the game.

My FSS is throwing a seizure. Not even joking. What a mess.
