It was released recently, and just decided to take the plunge.

Absolutely amazing. A very real Star Wars experience in VR, all the sounds, all the settings, all the sights... and the light saber. You also need Oculus Touch for this but it is very worth it. I have just started playing and probably half way through the episode. It is a relatively simple mix of narrative with gameplay elements and the balance is just perfect to immerse you in the SW universe.

There is even a light saber training dojo with drones.

Wait for the moment where you meet Vader for the first time. I can tell you, one thing is watching him at the movies comfy at your movie chair popcorn in hand. Another one very very very different is to see him coming towering in frucking front of you.

Best $10 I have spent recently. Do not let the low price fool you. This is the real deal. Short according to the reviews, but by all accounts just Episode I.

Awesome! I was waiting for this. I was a timed exclusive for the Oculus Quest. Looks like it’s released for all Oculus headsets now. Glad you posted!

The story was written by David S. Goyer who you’ll possibly have heard of, although it was short (and more like an interactive movie than a game) it was excellent and had that important ephemeral quality - it felt like proper Star Wars.

There are also parts that do some amazing sense of scale stuff.

The Saber training dojo is also well worth the price in my opinion. Can’t wait to see how the Force-focussed part 2 pans out!

Edit: I played it on the Rift S, looking at videos of the Quest version the graphics on the desktop Rifts are better, with more shadows, lighting effects and detail, but surprisingly not that massively different.

I just played it through this morning. My favorite part was the beginning tinkering around in the ship. It’s like a mini Krait.

The gameplay was pretty much typical of VR adventure games at the moment. Not a lot to get excited about.

However the Star Wars immersions was great. Vader was really well done and I love all the dialogue with him in your face.

My daughter is digging the Saber Dojo.

I’m looking forward to the next chapter, I really hope they up the game with force powers and blasters.

Totally enjoyed it myself - can't wait to play it again on the Rift.
