There's been no new leads lately. I think it's an dlc expansion pack called Raxxla
Well Braben said Raxxla was in the game and that someone had already been close to it, so it's not an urban legend.
I've never caught Fdev lying, re-prioritizing yes but not lying.

No, he has never said that someone had already been close to it. That's urban myth.
I realy thought that he or one of the devs said that a cmdr had been in the system where it was but didn't discover it.
Maybe they said that, who knows someone could have been in the system, I can't realy remember it correctly.
I really believe you that you thought that he or someone else said it, just like many others believe it as well.
And yet, when I ask them to support that extraordinary claim with the extraordinary evidence in the form of a link, none were able to provide it.
That claim is really extraordinary, because it means we simply have to search around 0.036% of the galaxy in order to find Raxxla.
Unfortunately this myth has been repeated often enough that it became truth.
It is true that DB said that Raxxla exists and it is true that MB said that it's in the Milky Way, but we still don't know what it is, where it is and how to get there.
My personal hypothesis is that we have to find TDW's dark station first, where we'll get new clues regarding Raxxla.
You can't find what doesn't exist in game yet.
It’s my belief that Raxxla is in a currently permit locked system.
Please dont go and waste your time with that. All Raxxla was and is was a folk tall on some story line started in the beginning of the game and Harry Potter was the one to kill it off. There is no Raxxla and never will be.
I have supercruised to a close (ha.ha.) permit locked system. After 3 hours I arrived at the waypoint in space where the primary star should be but there was nothing.
Was the star missing? Was the nav data wrong? Was I lost?
I dropped out as close as I could, as there wasn’t a disengage window. What I got next was a grey diamond target. I was a long way out, I can’t remember how far but it was days of travel away in normal space, and this was more time than I had spare. I gave up and continued my journey to beagle.
I may return again one day and try to drop out closer.
And make the longest most boring YouTube video that more than likely leads to nothing.
Is this where we will find Raxxla? After a journey that takes days or weeks to make?
Because it's a video game and it has to load the next system. That means you have to go into hyperspace so that the new system can load. If you just go into Super Cruise you will never actually get to the other system.
We have done it.
I understand the mechanics of the software loading screen but there has to be a way into locked systems I just have to try every possible variable. I’m gonna try black hole jumping next. targeting a black hole through a black hole lens, whilst going backwards in super cruise, blindfolded.
I imagine thargoids fly through hyperspace like we fly in super cruise. So what we really need is a thargoid FSD ... now where can I get one of those?

Running of the Hypothesis that others have gathered.
1) The early interstellar pilots talked of Raxxla and the dark-wheel station.
2) Meaning ancient FSD travel too and from to find and get word back over specific timespan around of the space of the early colonies.
suggesting that it could be 0ly up to 200 ly from Sol.
3) It was discoverable with ED 1.0 - meaning it's not a location findable via horizons planetary surfaces, and Horizons and Beyond stations and hackable terminals.
So honks and eyes are all we got.
4) It's lying in plain sight but it might not register.
5) It's a journey, so a long haul in-system.
or that in itself is the hint, the route, to take, which is what I am following.
But I have to do economical jumps to not miss a thing and is consistent with early explorers and ship capabilities of the newly started ED1.0 ED pilots and accounts.
