[BREAKING NEWS] Largest Heist In Galactic History Takes Place: EIC Robbed by The Code

That single Meta Alloy, as well as quite a few of their rares, are for unlocking Engineers.
The Meta Alloy is a bit of a relic though, as it's purchable at Darnielle's Progress in Maia. That's quite a trek though, so it may just be easier for people to buy 20 Imperial Slaves and trade them with EIC to get access to Felicity. No need to go down to Pleiades with EIC in your local neighbourhood.
You don't understand what I'm saying.

I'm not saying that buying 1 meta alloy with 20 slaves is a bad deal. I'm saying that selling 1 meta alloy in exchange for 20 slave does't seem like a profitable deal at all.

HHAHAHA, Oh TSV.. You angel.

The first bit of player-driven content in MONTHS, a chance to make more of an in-game event.

And people are crying about EIC potentially breaking the rules and having multiple users on the same account.

So if I get a T9 and fill it completely with VOs and allow someone here to access the account and transfer them to another ship, will that trump this "heist"?
You don't even have to allow someone else access. A good story doesn't need to be true, you know.

Hint: Pirates don't play by the rules.

I know only what I've seen and read. I imagine there are two ways to look at it but one way would be to assume that if "Bank" ships are shared between players and one of those players decided to give things away for free then I can't see there is much can be done. Nothing was stolen, it was "abandoned".

For what it's worth, my advice, humble as it may be would be to pay up and accept there needs to be a review of procedures.
Also, not that I care who does and doesn't, but wouldn't this also be considered a way to make real money from selling credits to someone else? (Conspiracy theory incoming for S&G)

So what had happened wuz, someone was transferring credits by sharing a temp password for an account to a large ship full of VOs, and when someone else found out about it, the story was concocted about being pirated yadda yadda yadda...

That "someone" could just be another account I have. I could RP so hard that I'd double cross myself, steal my own VOs and scuttle the ship, leaving only a sidey with basic loadout. In fact I'd completely empty the account by running up so many fines, dumping high priced goods into the void (and stations) and rebuying expensive loadout ships after suiciding repeatedly into the station pads. Then I would take screen shots and post here. I'd call my new guild "... Nah I cannot divulge that information.

Of course you don't just mean The Code, right?

Much as I respect FDev and "the rules", I'm not keen on the idea of people wailing about rule-breaking being a reason to intervene here.

Either it was okay for EIC to do what they were doing, in which case it was also okay for Code to get their grubby paws in on it, or it wasn't okay, in which case EIC shouldn't have been doing whatever Code took advantage of.

You can't play one way and then complain about it when somebody else takes advantage of whatever you were doing.

Yes, then I could get an entire 300 page thread going about EULA and moral philosophy; the ethics of being an ethical RPer in ED
Well, that will be the hardest part. You need to constantly bump the thing, come up will all kinds of irrelephant stuff and get the others to acknowledge your existence. You may need the help of a second forum account as well. But hey, if they can, so can you (y)

The thing that I'm not keen on is some guy yelling that it was absolutely a rulebreak and therefore should be definitely a thread closure based on... what?

Sure, EIC reported it to fdev. Fdev may or may not decide that some rule or another has been broken by one person or another. Until that decision has been made, we can't say for definite that anything has broken any rules.

oh wait my mistake it was one of those nasty pvp groups that was accused therefore they're automatically guilty of any accusation that is thrown at them ever.
