Patch Notes September Update - Patch 1

Just in case you weren't sarcastic: you can ask FD to move your account to another platform once. I dont know the details, and many chose not to do so because the first parts of the game are best anyway. But if that is holding you back drop support a note and ask what they can do for you before you buy it on pc.
A. That only works with credits, not... well, everything else... and B. It DELETES your entire CMDR (other than credits, see A). The whole thing. Gone. Cosmetics and all, down the drain. No thanks.

Just shows what FD thinks of their customers LOL.

Man they've changed.

And you base that on one posted emoji?
Come on man don't you think you're overreacting here a bit?
I know their communication isn't all that but to say that they're thinking low of the community is taking it a bit out of perspective imho.

An apology doesn't fix any bugs, I measure their sincerity by how quick they rectify the mess that was created by the latest update.
And believe me, they know that the update borked.

My confidence isn't at an all time high regarding Fdev at the moment to put it mildly but apologies and the correct use of emojis isn't gonna fix that.
Bug fixes will.

An apology for posting information on the forums or what was the topic again?
An apology for the update being so bugged that it stopped some of us from playing, if one is given it would be better timed after all the worst bugs have been fixed.

That last is just my opinion of course.

The emoji wasn't even related to the state of the game.
They extended the availability of the Thargoid bobblehead. Someone said they should post that information on the forums. He said they did.

Nope. They move only total credits + assets value. No engeineers, no ships, no materials. Nothing, only a huge quantity of money on a Sidewinder

Sometimes realistic is better than optimistic.

Granted but if one were to read too much into the 'where possible' response given one might begin to get the impression that there are bugs that ...

1) They can't find the cause / It would take too long to find the cause
2) They've found the cause and it would take too much
effort to fix
3) They've found the cause but the fix has been deferred to a major update
4) They won't investigate as they expect upcoming design changes to obviate the need for a fix
5) Resource restrictions mean it's too low on the priority list to get investigated

I could probably think up a few more but that'll do for now.

Apologies? Whatever, useless fluff.
I'd rather they fix what they broke, and do a better job before they rollout a patch.
It's not a normal situation that every medium to major patch breaks the game for a week.
And no, I don't do other MMOs, so I don't care one iota about them.

Dear Commanders, I do believe that an apology is not what is needed right now. We would be more than glad to recieve an official communication stating that yes, they found the problem and yes, they are working on it. I am almost sure they are working on the most serious bugs that are making the game unplayable for many people and I am confident that we will have an update soon. I'm not annyed by some typos and other stuff but I think they surely care about us because many of spent good money on the game buying Frontier Points. I play since day one on PS4 and I'm not willing to migrate anywhere else. I got a full story of successes and adventure with my ships. I just won't give up the Enterprise because of some bugs that will probably be fixed soon. Yeah, I know there are plenty of them but in the wide majority there's a workaround and FDev always fixed the "game breaking" ones.

I am usually hot tempered, but ED is the only game I play since 2 years.
So well.. uhm.. it would be nice if we know what FDev is doing but, at the same time, let's not lose our decency.

I am not too sure what is going on as some posts are not showing however since you are obviously referring to my comment then perhaps you might consider my reply to the "raised eyebrow" which was that the information was given in a post buried in page 41 of a series of people's reminiscences about Elite as entries in a competition. The OP had also been amended (by someone) - however neither "updates" could possibly be counted as announcements.

So in short, I think the sarcastic "raised eyebrow" was very insulting and totally uncalled for and showed a dreadful attitude from a "community manager" to a member of that community - I didn't make a song and dance about it - I don't know if others did.

If you pay money for a product you deserve a product that works, conforms to its feature list and competent support. I will leave it to the reader to judge whether the last patch meets any standard of competence.
This is really all we're asking for.

It's just an information that the bobblehead will be available for one more day. It wasn't the announcement of space legs so I don't see why we would need a new thread about it. Anyway, if you want to be up to date I can only recommend using a dev tracker, which actually did show his post.

If you are that insulted by a raised eyebrow I can only say that I find your entitlement pathetic.

Raised Eyebrow genereally means surprised. To find that someone is surprised to be insulting I find a bit odd to say the least.

.......

It was the uncalled-for sarcasm which I found inappropriate and showed a lack of understanding of how people perceive FD's communication as I am sure I am not the only one who considers that the standard of connection with users on the forum leaves much to be desired.

... and now I am pathetically insulted* too. :)

(N.B. *To be clear, that is just a joke)

What does Space Legs have to do with it?

All people are asking for right now is for existing features not to be broken.
