The rather obvious answer is: because while you are deeply invested in PP, other people are not. So investing more in PP would have benefited you more, but many others get more enjoyment out of literally anything else. Thats not to say I wouldnt love it if FD gave PP some proper attention, but if you want to know why FD does stuff you dont care about instead of stuff you do care about it is kinda because, you know, other people exist too.

So why dont they put more staff on it, churn out more content, make evrybody happy and sell more stuff in the process. Full price expansions aswell as kits and jobs.


Edit: look at me sitting here... i would pay £20 just to get the ADS back in whatever form. Sell a custom ship or something! But no they rather prevent me from spending money here ever again....

Never read more than the first few lines. My main enjoyment of this game was space tramping so most of it doesnt apply to me. I did skim thru it but the FSS didnt appear to be mentioned

My assumption is because ED is only getting enough drip fed hamster food style development muscle to keep a steady income based on new players coming in while most of the income is diverted to more profitable new IP's such as their various theme park games. Big changes to core systems just don't pencil out.

Honestly, I really admire the stick to it-ness and positivity of the folks who put the petition together. Their willingness to set cynicism (which is absolutely warranted when it comes to the dev style of this game) aside is almost awe inspiring.

Frontier do not get the same level of hate but yet they with a larger studio have not yet provided the content people wanted and play without a GRIND. Frontier over the year have released content locked behind an annoying and put off grind that just isnt wanted nor needed. The general grind for CR i understand but the grind surrounding engineering has put off people from wanting to play the game and takes the skill out of pvp in general. Frontier have destroyed their once brilliant game.

We are getting a squadron (and personal) carrier update soon and next year we get the all new DLC. Everyone's a winner.

Hello games went with the no forum policy as a result though. There were also death threats in the reddit thread of the petition, so FDEV are getting exactly the same level of hate.
