I bought Arx this week on my Alt account, as there were a few things I liked in the store... I guess in the last 18 months I've given FD around £20 for cosmetics, flippant I know, but sometimes...

The OP is comparing PJ's that were always sold singly against packs, even I recall the 'premium' PJ's being sold individually, often for more than a 'cheap' pack... If my memory failed me and I believed this observation to be correct I would certainly be complaining too...

Now I was able to buy a single skin, from a pack of 8, for slightly more than 1/8th of the package cost - pretty good as previously I'd have bought the 8 and ignored 7 of them

I'll give FD money for cosmetics any time I wish, regardless of the calls to shun the store, as it is my decision. But I will point out that my main account will use the freebies for any little frippery as that account has all I want currently, should this change, well - my Arx balance is going up by 400 each week, I can wait

there is not a single painting that is worth more than that ... 620 does not reach half a pound, in between there are those of 1250arx (less than 1 pound) .... 3250 are about 2 euros / 2 pounds ... information you have been given is not correct.

and by the way, shipping kits are like 2 pounds cheaper now,and you also receive 400arx free every week and you don't have to buy packs of 6 paintings that you will never use.

Don't want to throw fuel of the ARX fire, but I don't mind the new system. It's nice to buy a ship and trick it up in game. All I had had to do was buy an ARX pack to start off the bank account. The largest pack was around A$48.00 for 98,000 ARX. Seemed cheap enough to me regardless of the individual paint job prices. I used it to buy a paint job for the Mamba and a pretty pot plant. I think the free ARX has already reimbursed me for the paint job.

I'm not sure of the exchange rate, but $48 USD pays for my internet service. Or, four trips to the buffet. Or many other things. Using an artificial currency hides the cash cost.

Not as convenient. Going out of game before was a drag. Then had to wait for the transaction to be processed. Now it all happens in game immediately once you have some ARX. I suspect that some of the resistance with ARX is due to the bad reputation that in game currency has got from some notable AAA games in recent times.

I had to go to the grocery store last night, and they did not accept ARX, or crypto currency.

They did take my bank's debit card.

We don’t need anything in the ARX store to play the game... I’ve never purchased anything from the ingame store and I enjoy this game just as much as anyone else does. Everything in ARXstore is optional and doesn’t affect gameplay so I cannot understand why anyone gets upset and rants about this. Im quite happy that Frontier hasn’t made this a “pay to win” game by putting modules or materials in the store, which they could’ve easily done so but didn’t because they recognize that’s not cool.

It was much nicer to go to the online store. One could browse everything, and see cash prices. I could do so from my tablet or phone, as well as my PC.

I'm on Xbox so I wasn't able to purchase anything through the website but I liked being able to browse through it and see what was new etc.
Now I have to start up the Xbox run ED and only then can I check what's available, with less filter options too.

Well literally speaking the whole store is for free yes, after you've played for a billion hours, still, it's for free.
Then again, if you don't mind paying a couple Euros you can get items a lot quicker, enough options imho.
