The Star Citizen Thread V10

3 years ago Cobra TV posted a seriously deranged video about how NMS was really a massive puzzle to be solved. He fairly quickly made the video private, but you can read the reactions to it here:(...)
Interesting, as in a similar manner to SC cultists, quite a few comments were downvoted to negative, even though they were obviously right and anyone could confirm by playing the game at that time.

Cobra gets very emotionally-invested into games, although he does show them in a good light.
Yer not half kidding... "That light! That is so cool"

I'm not that concerned about the bugs in the game. They've only been working on it for 8 years so it's bound to still have a few bugs. My concern is that it appears to be making the same design decisions as Elite. I don't want another Elite. I want a Star Citizen. There was a bit in that video where he was taking the parcel to its destination and the clock was ticking down really really slowly.

Of course Cobra enthused about this saying it gave him an opportunity to have some coffee... and then he edited out the long and boring flight. If I want the Hutton Orbital experience I'll play Elite. Elite is my roast beef. I was expecting an American game to serve me a hamburger

3 hours of game play yesterday, no disconnects. But, I only made about 2K, over what I started with. However, I bought about 25K worth of gear.

SC is very unique in a way that I feel safe in my ship, but, once I EVA I feel vulnerable. Thus, I gear up to the max that I want.

Right now, I prefer SMG with 3x scope, and a flashlight. I keep the default sidearm, but add 3x scope and flash light. This is for my new hobby Splelunking!

Oh and I did FPS mission and got waxed. I wasn’t expecting much from the NPC’s and the made me pay for my low expectations. This killed time as I flew a different ship to the mission, blew it up and got back on my main ship and finished the mission. So my trying to avoid it didn’t last very long at all.

Now for cave exploring. It’s been a blast. But, I only did it for an hour.

As I type I’m flying to another one. So let’s see how I do today.

I wouldn't mind playing SQ42 on VR . . . but only then, and only if it's worth it (decent story, not too many glaring bugs, enough missions...)

BTW, your son is growing like a weed. I remember your avatar when he was tiny. :)
Lol he is that and that image must be 12 month old now too. Tall genes in our family . Off looking at schools tomorrow morning. But I digress sorry to derail. I must admit I keep meaning to install SC again.

3.7 looks like a lot different beast than time I played

Well my session didn’t last long, as it’s my daughters birthday and the family just got home. I ended up almost dying from mining. Good thing I carry 10 MED packs! Well 9 now.

I will say it’s clunky switching between a chem light and FP mining. At least for me. I need another utility slot, as I like to hang the chem light from me. Wish I could put it in a Grenade slot.

Edit: I like to use my pistols flashlight, so it’s always out. But, I will try my suits lights next time. I’m still learning what works best for me, and is most efficient.

The mission was not at a marker, so I flew to orbit, jumped to the closest outer marker and established an orbit at full speed to close the 475isk km that I had to travel. At 160km, I corrected my orbit to re-entry. I actually enjoy decoupled mode and flying vectors. I like the prograde and retrograde markers that are currently in game too.

Can't find. Which company? Which page?
Sorry. The UK holding company, Cloud Imperium UK Ltd, don't recall the page number but it's note 11:

Also have a look at the directors' remuneration, and the directors added in the year. Always worth a read.

In short - company ate a load of cash for operations, needed cash from elsewhere. Used that cash to pay off a debt.

According to Blinky ATX's recent upload on the Sunk Cost Galaxy Part 7, Sandi was never really the driving force behind CI's early marketing phenomenon which the fan base and public were led to believe. If this is apparently still the case? as of 2019, then who is really driving this part of the ship now?

It never was her in the first place...the only thing Sandi has realistically added to the development of Star Citizen is her increasing collection of handbags and shoes ;)

Meanwhile, back at the ranch... NPC pirate scum after I blew up his Cutlass. Never seen the bodies before, maybe I just wasn't paying attention..

It’s been like that for a while. You can scoop them up too.

Thanks.

I thought tangible fixed assets included things like: computers, coffee machines, furniture, and space doors.
