Do "purple-haired heroes" scare everyone into Solo?

Yeah, that’s exactly why there are other modes.

Sadly, not everyone utilizes those, meaning I have to find creative ways to poke fun at them on the forums and not get banned lol.

Indeed.

One should always choose a game mode that is appropriate for the experience that one wishes for that game session.

In this context, I’m talking about basic survival. Perhaps that wasn’t totally clear. I don’t expect anyone to just dive into PvP and compete neck and neck with the best.

1 thing I will say with certainty . Whilst I have my issues with the game and God knows I have been vocal about it over the years, in general I do not always like the direction FD go, the announcement about Helion has been a real sobering thing.

The last thing I want is for FD to make such an announcement about elite. I would rather tolerate short cuts and cut corners than having having FD wash their hands of the game.

It is not much of an opinion, if the game lore itself presents a grim, unforgiving galaxy. You should read the books by Drew.
The pink haired roflmao crew kind of destroys that grim, unforgiving feeling since everything they do is utterly ridiculous and instantly makes the game world unbelievable. Even their avatars are from a different galaxy. There isn't anything grim about it. They are clowns. Watch a few dystopian movies and compare that with the nonsense that happens in game.

PS
Just to be perfectly clear, I am talking about their in-game character. I have no idea which size of shoes they wear in the real world.

They're not going to wash their hands of the game with so many of you guys lining their pockets from store sales. Hellion folded it's tent because there was no more money for development.

Just a reminder, the argument started with someone saying he prefers to visit Shinrarta in Solo / PG.

There is no risk, no consequences, for almost anyone, but there should be.
I believe that the Thargoid Invasion was meant to be "hard mode" for those with top-tier ships. As I said before, I don't expect all NPCs to magically scale up with me (and I actually dislike games that do that), but I do see the value of bigger and badder threats being made available as one progresses in any game.

That said, there comes a point in most PVE games when you can easily take on the biggest of bosses. Whether it's one-shotting dragons in Skyrim or beating Daimon with "relative" ease in DD: DR, this is often the inevitable conclusion of many a video game, at which time you can start over with a different build / play-style, or perhaps just wander the country as the god you are and smell the flowers, or move on to another game.

Not me. I paid a hell of a lot (by my standards) to help ED get past the KS goal posts. It would have to be a really special update indeed for me to buy cosmetics. It's not about me being tight I just don't enjoy in-game items earned with out of game cash. The last money I gave them was due to the SLFs. I (foolishly it turns out) thought it showed FD were in the process of implementing DDF ship's crew . The purchases meant nothing to me I have not even equipped most of it.

I don't think ED was ever supposed to be this kind of game.

Yup - JWE and PZ too. Prefer JWE to PC - very much looking forward to PZ - the beta looked quite pretty.

I on the other hand didn't like JWE, too much restrictions and directed gameplay... They would have been better off ditching the "jurassic world" official franchise and just did their own dino park game with the same degree of freedom as PC.

PZ on the other hand is shaping up to be the best game FD has ever made.

I’ve looked at JWE a few times, but never got around to picking it up.

Operation genesis was pretty great on the Xbox. Not an Fdev product, but still great.
