This is the first time I'm hearing of this - can you provide a CIG source? Are you talking of SC or Sq42?
A first time for everything I suppose...it's news to me too. Maybe the latest spin on something or other from Citcon. I've no doubt most of the Kool-Aid drinkers will now seize upon it if it's the latest nonsense to be spouted...

Excuse me, dear sir, for my blunder! Here, have a screenshot

Here you go, telling us about Evocati getting the "stuff running at Alpha". Would you mind pointing out the part about "few steps forward" and "pre-Alpha" that I've lost?
I mean, it should be there, right? Because if not it means that Evocati get the same stuff we see in LIVE later, and that means that Evocati are pretty useless stage that doesn't punch above its weight, because it means no bugs found by Evocati are patched before moving the product down the pipeline. Quite a subsumption!

Quoting Mr Roberts: "also, what is PR victory anyway?"

Dear sir, have you ever heard CI devs muttering the words "version control" , "branches" and "parallel development"?

Dear sir, I have to correct you here. Surely you meant "doing this 7 years now". Just a typo. And it pains me to hear words like "nothing new" when we are talking about the Best Damn Space Sim Ever!

Aren't those the same developers that do indeed release games?

Hurray 2022 release!!
Qouting Mr Roberts again: "Three years are the sweet spot. Anything longer and things become stale"

staring in awe who are you sir :)

News/spin from "CitizenCon sources" have regularly amused me.

Only last year it was to the tune of "Sandi Gardiner told me CitizenCon 2019 will be a super special one, mega announcement to come, you'll want to be there and not miss out!" to which some took as being "Sq42 release date announcement". Whoops

It was inspiring watching Sandi earn her director's salary.

You FUDster, she was just working hard behind the scenes! And she is so modest she didn't even want CR to credit her for all her hard work, instead letting some random marketing drone #X take all the credit.

Git yer JPGs! Git yer JPGs! While the're hot! Aegis inna bun! Hurry up! They are limited!

I played about 700-800 hours ED but since the "no-content" problem I didn't play a lot. So a few weeks ago I became a Star Citizen. After about 100 hours (ill at home for 2 weeks) I love this game. And yes, I call it a game. After the 100 hours I'm absolutly not bored. There is more content in the game than in other games I played. The immersion is incredible because of the seemless space-legs implementation. Yes, there are some negative sides like rare server crashes (every 10-20 in-game hours), some stutter sometimes (changing the server helps), stupid AI etc. But I definitly prefer having these issues within this wonderful immersive world.

When I speak about feature I like, I mean:
Bountyhunting PVE
Bountyhunting PVP (with a real hunt, you follow them, you hunt them)
Piracy with entering and overtaking enemy ships
Trading
Smuggler
Life as a criminal and getting rid of the criminal status
FPS missions in space with armor and weapon loadouts to play with (when you equip a magazine you see it on your armor)
FPS missions on planets and moons
Special FPS module (Star Marine)
Special PVP module (Arena commander)
Exploring of planets with many vehicles
Vehicle PVP
Screenshot generator ;)
and some more...

ED gave me a lot of good times - hopefully it will survive ;)

LMAO. You really need to expand your horizons. 🤣

When I speak about feature I like, I mean:
…the same things as in just about every other space game ever conceived, except with far less variety, with fewer mechanics, with no real game dynamics to speak of? So little that the list had to be padded out with duplicates just to make it a bit longer?

Rip off Jeremy Clarkson ripping off Elon Musk.

Does anyone at CIG have any creativity at all?

Obviously no o

Welcome to the club! This is a great time to be a Star Citizen. The game is shaping up and can keep you entertained for several hours per week, with so much to do. As for ED, I just hope they can finally deliver something more, since they have been doing bug fixes for 18 months.

Kinda fatal to make any comparisons or mention E-D in the same post as anything relating to SC on here (it upsets some of the natives) Just keep a balanced and objective viewpoint in your posts and you'll be fine...but welcome to the club anyway :D
