Hello,
Year 2020 gonna bring very much content for PZ!
I'm gonna talk about easter update.
Easter is associated with eggs right? what else is associated with eggs? birds of course!
Easter update will contain brave new aviaries mechanic(built piece-by piece by big/medium sized elements, scripted for birds to interact with)
We also gonna get a mesoamerican theme for our zoos! pretty cool? that's not the end.
South American DLC will also bring us our favourite animals.
Habitat ones:
-Giant Anteater
-Tamandua
-Capybara
-Guanaco
-Spider Monkey
-Golden Lion Tamarin
-Giant Armadillo
-Three-Toed Sloth
Viaviarium ones:
-Green Anaconda (bigger viviarium)
-Emerald Tree Boa
-Plumed Basilisk
-Three Banded Armadillo (bigger viviarium)
-Long Tailed Chinchilla (bigger viviarium)
Aviary ones:
-Andean Condor
-Scarlet Macaw
-Yellow and Blue Macaw
-Spix Macaw

You can count 18.12. twitter post as a first teaser. soon there's gonna be more.
Cheers

That’s what I was thinking also. I had to check if he was a dev or someone associated with the game. Lol, well it would be a nice addition I just hope your South American list will include jaguars and maybe maned wolves.

Sorry to double post but I will add I do have a feeling 2020 is going to be a great year for planet zoo. And if your bird and dlc prediction is true it really does take the game to a whole new level. But I’ll wait before jumping to conclusion on what could or couldn’t be in game but I am excited to see what frontier has in store for us.

I think if there will be something regarding Easter, I think it would more be like :
European hare
European rabbit
Domestic rabbit
Some kind of Chicken
Some kind of Bilby
Maybe some Plants and Decorations

If that is the case, I'd skip it instantly.

I like the addition of pet animals, but if it would only be 4 rabbits, a chicken and a type of badger, It won't be worth it for me. Even if it comes with farm scenery.

??? Which Badger? I've never mentioned a Badger in this List

The bilby is in Dutch translated to a badger.
It's a Bandicoot actually.

Sorry for the confusion.

Luuknoord would you be for petting zoo dlc? Just asking out of curiosity really, I know it’s a commonly requested dlc on the wishlists.

Sure I am. As long as the pack is valuable enough regarding the content.
Just having 4 types of rabbits doesn't seem necessary for me.

Yes! A petting zoo would be perfect. For now I have to settle for motionless sheep made out of different shapes.

🤔 Guests cannot enter a Enclosure with Dall Sheep but maybe it would work with a Extra Enclosure only with juvenile Dall Sheep. I really would like a Petting Zoo in the Game

I certainly think a Petting Zoo DLC would be realistic (just about every zoo has some kind of "Children's Zoo" with farm animals and small terraria/aquaria) but I don't think Frontier will prioritise it. Their focus is supposed to be on conservation/education after all (even if they get it wrong a lot of the time) and petting zoo animals only superficially factor into that. I think they are important for getting children interested in animals, but in terms of conservation, beyond "rare breeds", there isn't much to go on.

As for the OP, I'm repeating myself from other threads, but that's way too optimistic, I think. Who really thinks our first aviaries will be incorporated into a big DLC with other animals? They can market aviaries as their own thing, so from a business perspective that's probably what we're going to get. A DLC with Jurassic World Evolution style aviaries and a dozen or so birds to pretty-up the zoo.

I'm not even convinced exhibit animals will be incorporated into big DLC's, either. Again, there's a lot more potential for profit if they separate everything. We paid 12NZD for the Arctic Pack, which had four habitat animals, a building set, and a handful of scenarios. That's a fair price for what we got, yes, but consider substitutions; in terms of value, what is an animal worth? I would expect them to charge the same 12NZD for a pack with only, say, six animals in it, because the two new animals make up for the lack of themed items and campaigns. So we might get an Australian DLC that winds up costing something like 12-15NZD with four or five habitat animals, a new building set, and a few campaigns, and then an Australian Exhibit DLC with ten to a dozen exhibit animals for the same price.

If I was in charge of Frontier, that's exactly how I'd do it, too, because if you can pump out three or four DLC's in a year then people will keep playing, keep paying, and keep talking about your game. In the new era of social media and instant-information, this is important, because consumers are far more easily distracted by something new if your product doesn't get attention all the time.
