Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

The thing I practice with the Corvette is to bring a load of limpets, put enough pips to wep, and share the rest between sys and eng. Stop the ship and use it as a giant fortress turret / Death Star 2000 killing whatever wing you can annoy (long range lasers and 2x Huge MC). All that is trivial, but the little game in the game is to get all the enemy ships to explode as close to your own ship as possible <~200m. That way the limpets won't have to travel far, and if you juggle say 10 limpets at at time, this is a pretty decent way of mining man-mats. Once the party gets going it's like all over the place. Great fun. Bring a shield. :)

Edit: @ a CNB.

2nd edit: Oh, bring one ton of gold instead of all limpets. That'll keep them coming.

Boy.... that was work.... got Vette to haul 443 tons Painite, nice, now >2bn should do for a Fleet Carrier, I hope, then changed the big MC guns for 2x 4A G4 efficient Pulse Phase seq. ....fixed!.... First time for me to have fixed guns, and what do you know, it is doable, bit of practice and the additional damage helps, did not even have to use my 2 gimballed class 2 MC's, just workedwith the fixed pulses and that did it. Just wish there would be something like a hit/miss statistic, so I could get an idea whether I get better over time, and worse with single malt I suppose. ;) Would love to swap gimbal enginnered guns for fix.... not possible, need to engineer all from scratch....sigh.... another day another grind.

Slightly confused. Used the KWS during my latest high RES shootout, and I can now see these under my "Transactions":

Where do these get handed in? In systems containing those factions? There's no option to hand them in the system I earnt them (Shin).

I am astonished about the coriolis stats with two pulses, it looks very bad for armour, but the pulses did manage to get the ships down, slower than the MC's but they did. Hmmmm

What engineering on the pulses?
On my Vette I use some pulses* with focused and a small high cap MC with corrosive to give the lasers an assist.
Oh yeh, and 2x huge efficient beams.

* Pulse lasers, not lentils.

You have to go to a station where the issuing faction holds sway if you want the full pay out. Visible 'wanted' tags indicate a local bounty, KWS brings up all bounties, from far and wide.

Probably why mine remain in the hangar, gathering dust - the time spent roaming about to cash them in could just as readily be spent gathering more local bounties.

Yes, that's just become evident to me too. I'm beginning to think the outlay - and engineering mats - doesn't justify bothering with a KWS. Still, a visit to the IF at least adds a little profit.

Yesssss... I tasted blood.... :) fixed weapons it is!!!!! Oh boy, lots of guns to engineer again, and need to get myself some rails as well. Totally different playing experience, I am sticking with the suboptimal pulses now, that'll teach me flying. Got three spec ops on my rear.... made it out via thruster.... waited....recharged shields.... back on again and took one after the other. :)
