Old player whining

But the galaxy is so big, you simply can chuck your fictional content in there. Or invent a stargate to Andromeda. Often fiction runs well with a well-known background. I do believe however that the big galaxy is hampering the story in ED when stuff just is a needle in the humoungous haystack.
I think we might be talking about two different things here. I don't disagree with your points, I simply think that NMS has it easier because the civilizations don't really have a presence anywhere, but are actually everywhere in the game world and they don't even have to feign that there was any non-player activity going on in the locationless galaxy.

And concerning the haystack, I'm a bit sceptical if there even is a metaphorical needle there to be found currently.

wait the second. There is already similar "mini games" and its called gameplay in core of this game. And you refuse to use loading screen to make it less boring? What kind of masochist you are? Who want this? For example i can take whatever make this game ehm "game?".

No, I absolutely do not want to be forced into 'playing' more mini-games for something I have to do thousands of times throughout the game as a simple matter of getting from A to B. Same reason I don't want mandatory mini-games in SC while cruising to a distant planet or star. Masochist? Masochist's are those that demand to be pestered by mini-games to do every mundane activity in simulation games.

who told you it would be minigame you MUST play? You cant delete loading screens at least not in this game engine, so why you refuse to make it fun. I dont get it.
Look at your jump number and multiple it be ~5second. That time you waste from your life for nothing, not playing game only waiting.
What is wrong about playing game and not only looking at nice animation?

LOL when i think about it, it should have option to turn it off/on only for person like you. 🤣

I see what you mean now. But at the core it's the same mechanism I believe. Both use seeds to generate "maps". They are differently populated though with NMS having stuff everywhere.

Can you imagine!! dodging virtual asteroids in a mini game to stop your fuel instantly depleting, whilst trying to avoid an interdiction by simultaneously playing TWO mini games at the same time... Lose interdiction and you get blown up. Lose asteroids, and your fuel runs out. I urge everyone to bind asteroids to WASD, and interdiction to IJKL, so you can do at the same time on each hand. You may also want to practice sticking a straw up your left nostril, so one can snort the choco-milk incase one gets thirsty during the double-task encounter.

You must have a real amazing mini-game to play that's going to be keeping us all enthralled on jump 6,542 just like jump 1. Tell us all about it. Maybe change a person-like-me's mind being the dolt that I am.

i dont have anyting. i make that suggestion only because somebody ask. Its not mine job, and dont tell me they cannot making something good and hide that loading screen.
Every minigame would be boring after 6542 jumps, so i think they should first reduce jumps, bigger jumps with cooldown or something or with some extra fuel, whatever to reduced repeating jumps. And then adding some sort of entertaining minigame whould be great (again, already minigames in game so what).

Come on OP don't be mean, we only have to wait yet another year for some novelties.

What's another year in ED development time scale?

This is just my opinion, but I personally think that the vast distances are the defining feature of Elite exploration. If it took three hours to jump to Beagle, not really much point having expeditions going there anyway.

im tired.
Sure, i will wait another year but when they come with half-cooked bugged not working feature and then that feature will be abandoned after half year. I would defenetly lost interest in this game and for sure dont buy another "DLC" to this WEdontKNOWwhatWEdoingGAME and move on.

so something like similar CD as you travel normaly with existing jumps? Explorers would have still same traveling time and even use spared free time "do" things on planets for example?

a 15 man team is running decimating circles around the 100 man team from a content and development point of view.

on the other hand, NMS is still a piece of beep in my personal opinion. I just tried it again, I still don't like it - and since I bought it through humble I wasn't even able to get it refunded back then :(

This would be also problematic, considering that exploration is both about destination and the travel itself. If you had a long cool down 500 ly jumps, it'd mean you'd shift through less systems. Less systems, less chance to bump to something interesting and worst case scenario is that your destination system is a lone star system or maybe has a bunch of icy balls.

I'm all for adding more stuff to do on planets, however. Currently there's not much action on that front except maybe taking screenshots.

I really don't get these posts. You're not paying a subscription to play the game, so if you're unhappy with it just don't play it? There are one or two alternatives out there LOL. Why whinge at the devs because they haven't made the game to suit YOU? Find a game that does instead...

For me, E:D is incredible, but mycomparison is playing the original in 84/85 and the follow-ups. I've played plenty of other MMOs and more often than not the 'monthly content' stuff is bug-ridden, an exploit fest, or a way to shift more PTW crap. So I don't play them much any more...

Maybe because i still a care a little? Playing less and less, yes i dont play it because its THE same game as was years before, still same problems , same bugs. So yes its ends i stop play it, thats why i post it how i feel it.

I really dont get your post, too. Why posting in whining thread about how i must find other game? First that is how game lose players. Second come here and take from this post whatever you want, ignore it or MAYBE just MAYBE think about this game.

"Monthy content bug ridden exploit fest"... oh hmmm and this game isnt monthy content and still can find pretty neat "exploits" someone dont call it like that because reasons. But playing players already have billions from previous exploits so dont care anymore. In E: D was known exploits for months without change, so dont tell me this game hasnt flaws you wrote. Bug-ridde? In ED is pretty like this too. But not that visable because 3 modes with invisible players. I thing people dont care about exploits bugs from money anymore. Only for bugs which ruin gameplay feeling.Thats what game is: feeling. blaze your own trail or something. Without proper mmo its obvious you dont see things like that. Becasue in real mmo there are people who must have best of the best and rise ego, so finding bugs better than very good testers.

sure, but funny is players CANT transfer ship money or anything i have in this game to you. So this MMO game is like that. Its exact what i point out in this thread. So your sarcastics post miss the point. Only thing remains is give you mine accout.

... are you really saying that you haven't figured out how to transfer money to another commander yet?

I do 'think about this game'. I think it's amazing it runs every day without a subscription or pay-to-win wall. I prefer to look at the positive side than complain and deride the people who make the game (without which you'd have no game to complain about at all). But I see I (and others on this thread) are posting rational replies to... well, you've having a bit of a tantrum, aren't you? Go take a nap or something.

oh come on. when you think i put tons of materials in ship and then you collect them is money transfom you just wrong. Its not even intention from devs, player must find way.
Its dump. Also its only money, not ships and other grinded stuff which really matters.

And i just ignore you next time, you are too sarcastic and think im noob and you are pro, kid.
