Frontier: "You Bought Our Game, Now - We Despise You Actually Playing It"

That is why I thought something in game mechanics was changed:
...
FOR EVERY SINGLE MISSION I ACCEPT, there is ALWAYS be a pirate on my ship, regardless of what I'm actually carrying!
...
Also, EVERY SINGLE PIRATE is engineered to the max, in a larger, better-armed ship than yours that can pull game-breaking OP maneuvers a player could never attain, even with the best engineering
...
The only thing special I had is a collector limpet controller, 64 tons of cargo space, and 30 tons of Limpets. I am doing NOTHING ELSE except jumping to systems and scanning whatever's there - no cargo hauling, no mining, no couriering...
...
I'M STILL GETTING TARGETED FOR INTERDICTION WITH NOTHING IN MY CARGO HOLD OR COURIER INFORMATION TO BE DELIVERED TO SOMEBODY!
...
I AM CURRENTLY EXPLORING IN SOLO MODE, WITH NO ACTIVE COURIER / CARGO MISSIONS, OR ANYTHING IN MY CARGO HOLD, AND I AM STILL GETTING ATTACKED BY PIRATES!
...
Now you see why I'm so frustrated... The recent multiple interdiction attempts occurred in the Hyades Sector IH-V d2-130 star system, both before and after I had relieved myself of those limpets!
...
because even non-combat missions will result in over-engineered enemies with perfect combat and targeting AI, using ships impossible for players to ever build without hacking or modding, being sent after you to kill you.

Every. Single. Time.
I reiterate: I have no active missions, fines, or bounties. The one single time I got a fine, small as it was, I turned myself into the nearest station authorities, did my punishment, and was sent on my way.
...
2) Missions - EVERY mission I take on at a space station comes with pirates. I have not had a mission from a station where this does not happen. Ever. Sometimes I get warned about pirates as soon as I take the mission - before I even leave the station! I got a salvage mission while out exploring my "Road to Riches", and I was able to complete it without any interdictions - my first time doing so!
...
OP is stating him being interdicted OUTSIDE bubble, before reaching destination system.
And interdicted by “engineered to max” NPC pirates outside wing-assassination missions.

EDIT:
I fully understand that 90% of this rant is just that – a rant. And at least some of statements, let’s put it mildly, not entirely correct. But I thought that at least something of it is based on facts.

No, he is in the bubble
Engineered to the max pirates appear only in Pirate Threat USS

To my midly engineered Dropship (some modules G2-G3, some none) a Deadly Anaconda with a huge plasma and multiple SCB can appear "engineered to the max" while it may have no engineering.

There are pretty few USS outside the bubble in deep black. Thats in fact one way to know you are in deep black. When DSS stops showing USS nearly completely you are there.

Sorry, i was to lazy to look where Hyades Sector IH-V d2-130, my mistake.

Also in wing-assassination missions (“assassinate pirate lord…”). It is the only case when they can actively interdict player (but in this case Corvette/Cutter appears alone, without his escort and local security can intervene in the fight).

Then I got a wrong impression from those statements, thinking OP is familiar with what engineering looks like and what it allows to achieve:
player could never attain, even with the best engineering
using ships impossible for players to ever build without hacking or modding

I haven't seen any pirate pulling out things op says. Especially none of normal "I want your stuff" variety. Those are really just reacting shooting targets with no chance against engineered player ship.

I stack missions all the time on my alt - he's settled in a system with 2 empire and 2 fed factions and he's ranking both.
As a result i have between 3 and 18 missions stacked while i fly in about 20ly bubble doing the said missions.

Interdictions happen a lot. Sometimes up to the point of being really annoying.
But i dont complain. Based on disposition i either evade them or submit and fight. And my mission runner has collector limpets to pick up the leftovers.

Oh, and yes - after the patch i noticed quite a number of random interdictions without me having any cargo/missions.
iirc someone complained about this in some other thread less than a week ago.
maybe they mixed some old code in the spaghetti in the last patch.
Security may interdict in high security systems but definitely have a high chance of doing so when there is a war/civil war conflict in the system even when you're not carrying cargo.

@Zala - recently, as in since update, I have noticed that Mission Bonus/Incoming Attack messages don't always appear on entering system. Dropping out of SC at Nav Beacon and back into SC then triggers the message, Im sure it is intended to happen on entry as the last time I had a red 4m delivery time for the bonus implying to me it had been counting down from a starting number. So there may be at least one issue affecting this.
If the Time Bonus isn't triggered by the RNG and you're intent on getting one for as many of your stacked courier missions as possible (who doesn't want extra credits?), you can drop out of SC anywhere in the destination system (doesn't have to be the Nav Beacon) and go back to SC. Repeat until it triggers. It may happen when dropping out or it may happen when going back to SC. The only exception to this I've noticed is when the destination station is very close to the spawn star.

You can also sometimes trigger RNG'd pirates by doing the same thing - if you're looking for some extra credits from bounty claims.

I'm referring to RNG spawns in both cases as they are event-driven (changing your server instance each time you change travel mode).

Even the Incoming Enemies (IE) fits this bill, but more often than not will be triggered when you click Accept on the mission (that's an event in event-driven programming;)). Had an IE message delivered just last night while relinquishing another IE pirate. I've sometimes even had a RNG pirate drop into the normal space instance while fighting an IE pirate - and vice versa.

There's so much RNG in ED that you can use it to your own advantage at times (instead of it taking advantage of you). 🤑

Well, I honestly wanted to look at how interdictions are working now (I had long break from the game). I thought that maybe something changed in latest patch and pirates interdict player outside the Bubble or there are more attackers than before.

Thus, I specifically put myself in “worst case scenario” to test it.

Turns out that nothing changed. Same probability of interdiction attempts, same amount of NPCs, nothing changed in their loadout.
in my experience a majority of the NPC pursuers don't show up till you're in the system where the missions need delivered to.

Funny that, this thread. I'm flying an exploration ship a few hundred LY away from the bubble, with a cargo hold (that actually only holds limpets for repairs should I need them, but we've already established that pirates can't know that), and I haven't been interdicted in quite a long while. Also, who cares ? Just win the interdiction, problem solved.

To add a bit to this thread, I had no idea that doing the courier missions from Ceos to Sothis and back will get me interdicted sooo many times, I mean OK, opposing factions but that data must be pretty darn valuable for them to love me so much. Got jumped while not even in supercruise, was gathering some rare artwork in my DB Explorer and bam, ana freaking conda comes to play:)
Lucky for me system defence came to rescue and I got out with some 60% hull.
Talking about spicing things up......., on the other hand I got very good at following the escape vector, havent lost any interdiction till now, just time.

I can now confirm that the game is taking the pixx with the amount of interdictions. I am still in CEOS-SOTHIS, grinding the missions, and the description should really say: enemies WILL CERTAINLY be sent against you and not one, multiple ones.
From picking the delivery missions up all the way to delivering them I get interdicted alot. Got tired of zig zaging....... If this works as intended then hell yeah, it's a very very very annoying thing.

Now You know why those pay well ...

I dont mind about NPC interdictions (I like some usually) but I dont do those missions stacking runs, You picked that grind, nobody forced You to do so

Precisely, each mission comes with the chance of interdictions so having multiple missions stacked makes for lots of enemies. Evade one, next one tethers, evade that and the first one comes into play again (along with any other mission-enemies active).

Not a lot of point complaining about something one brings upon oneself.

A change was implemented to instantly spawn a NPC that, for whatever reason, drops from SC while they're attempting to get behind you. I learned years ago how to cause NPCs to fly into a star, planet, or moon nearby. I enjoyed that cat and mouse gameplay. It's now pointless. The moment they drop, the game respawns them. I want existing gameplay to be left in the game and more added. I don't want this type of organic gameplay removed. Why'd you do that FD? 😢
