What existing assets will they have to delete to add these new freshly chugged pipeline assets? Is the rack going to be stretchable enough to reach the fibre?

Can't you just have more patience for Rack 3.0? I mean, I know v1 isn't on the roadmap yet, but that's only because its part of the secret SQ54 build you see

In reference to the actual task ("QT Linking For AI Ships") I guess they've stopped development because the feature is pointless without proper NPC AI - be they hired wingmates or grouped NPC enemies - needing to use Quantum Travel. You can't hire NPC wingmates. NPCs don't travel between locations, they simply spawn.

Effectively, NPC AI is massively under-developed and waaaaay behind schedule, so subsequent NPC features are useless.
Admittedly I wasn't aware of the specific meaning of epic in that context, but I was more confused by the suggestion that they want a "full player experience" rather than, as opposed to built upon, "functionality". Unless FPE is code for people spending real money on dreams and jpegs, and functionality implies delivering an actual product which would prove all those dreams to be utterly delusional.

I'm just wondering what questions they're going to pick from to address in the video...not a lot of choice for anything with a positive slant really :D

I suspect Disco Lando will just totally ignore what's been asked..same as he always does... and just present some pre-scripted nonsense made up by some Ci¬G minion and foisted off as real questions from real backers.

I really wish they'd put Lando out to pasture...his bumbling and irritating presentations really grate these days. I really enjoyed the 'All about spaceships' vid where one of SC's writers, Will Weissbaum took the con asking the questions. Chalk and cheese from Landos persistently boring nonsense.

I've always though that it was a brave decision by them to have so much of the community content for a $300m and counting game fronted by a bloke who looks like he sleeps in his car.

Well, at least he will be prepared if CIG go under. I doubt the Roberts/Ortwin offshore slush fund covers Lando.

True, he'd only have to switch to sleeping in someone else's car.

Perhaps it's all been part of a subliminal marketing campaign. Sell your house! Raid the kid's college fund! Answer the call! BUY A DAMN IDRIS ALREADY!

When you're in the business of selling game development you'd better develop something.
There's been a assumption from the beginning that CIG would be able to overcome the challenges they had promised to deliver.
It's looking more and more likely they're not going to be able to scale up to more and more systems.
It feels like they're scrambling for a solution, now they're developing a whole new game in theatres of war.
If Elite can deliver on the next major update that will pretty much do it for Star Citizen.

I won't bet my life on this. For some SC is already better than any game ever made before, and if the next major update integrates features close to SC, it will sound like "CIG was right" to them so they will support even more.

And let's not forget that whatever fdev releases, you can be sure that CIG will restart the hype machine with more awesome features that are "just around the corner" .

oh the most of them don’t like ToW? What a surprise. Some of them seeing also a waste of resources 😱

My favourite response

Thanks for sharing Sean Tracy's opinion.

Also love how the OP shows only concept art while talking about the mode in present tense like its already released. But that's nothing new about the SC crazies.
