If you did this, or intend to do this, with games like The Witcher 3, or Skyrim, or Stellaris to name a few, you are nothing short of a cold-hearted felon and everyone should stare at you with a very, very angry stare.
The only music I listened to in the Witcher 3 were the hurdy-gurdy bands in the towns and Priscilla's song...
Skyrim...I listened to the theme tune every time I fired it up
Strangely enough, the only in game music I ever listened to was Halo 2 on the Xbox.
1: Because you had no option to turn it off.
2: It was rather good and fitted the gameplay like no others I've experienced.
In Skyrim, I loved to wander around at night and listen all the audio effects that were added for my immersion...rather than music which drowned it all out. Same goes for practically every game I've played...same as I never listen to music via headphones when I'm riding my Harley.
1: My exhausts are way too loud.
2:You're not likely to hear the very thing that kills you
