He'll soon discover sitting at the exit of the prison and shooting those escaping is just as much fun as pad ramming. Griefers quickly adapt to game mechanisms designed to deter them.
Indeed, but then not all folks are trying to escape...some are just working their time off or waiting it out watching Disney+ or Netflix. I don't mind the prison thing...as much as I only visited out of curiosity. It's boring and very buggy...but it certainly made me not want to go there too often if I could avoid it. It needs refining and sorting out certainly, but as far as it goes, it's currently upsetting the children so I'm all for it :D

:) yeah! Hehe.
I think this has been noted previously.
I think back in 2018 ish, I started to go through CI!G patch notes bug fixes to pick out the most hilarious to post here as the ultimate fun game, but gave up as there were just too many!
Since we talked about Goat Simulator recently - I think that was kinda the design idea behind that. Make something wonky with unpredictable outcome and design some sandbox around it with trope animal frame. The key would be to eliminate the serious bugs and leave the funny stuff in. But Star Citisn't kinda took itself too serious to do that.
Good Lord, just listen to the pretentious music. I can't but roll my eyes heavily every time I hear these schmalz-schmierwurst scores.

Believe it or not..I've never listened to or even heard the Star Citizen music...I've always had it turned off in the menus...

Mind you, I do that with all games regardless as my first menu selection...only Hollywood needs a music score to tell a story, I don't...it's not Star Wars :)

But CR is enamoured with Hollywood!

In other news, they've nerfed the scanner ranges on all ships in 3.9 to make the l33t PvP pilots imagine the stealth mechanic is working...unfortunately, all the mining ships are similarly effected by the same stupidly nerfed mechanic and now have shyte scanners that don't register 100 foot high rocks from more than 20 yards away...

...And I've just been banished from Spectrum for 24 hours again for posting this one...Ah well... [Deleted by Synthwave-CIG] right enough :D

You got banned for posting a link to a reddit thread? Or for making the post shown in the screenshot?

The screenshot and the cheeky reddit link since both were slightly derisive of the moderation...not my edit on the screenshot but someone elses...I merely posted it. You can get a 24 hour ban from Spectrum for posting pics of crash helmets these days, never mind slightly tongue in cheek images

Here's what got me a 24 hour ban hammer the last time, seemingly posting this in the test chat wasn't appropriate as the test chat channel is only for comments about testing...even though this was in the months waiting for the delayed 3.9 with nothing to test...we were all just chilling and posting bike pics etc. Wasn't Synthwave that time, it was Nightrider-CIG...my erstwhile Mod nemesis on Spectrum. 5 of us in there, all concierge and well known residents of the test chat and all posting bike pics through boredom at 02.00 in the morning got the 24 hour wrist slapping....which means we could still read the forum but had our posting privileges removed.

If you did this, or intend to do this, with games like The Witcher 3, or Skyrim, or Stellaris to name a few, you are nothing short of a cold-hearted felon and everyone should stare at you with a very, very angry stare.

The only music I listened to in the Witcher 3 were the hurdy-gurdy bands in the towns and Priscilla's song...

Skyrim...I listened to the theme tune every time I fired it up ;)

Strangely enough, the only in game music I ever listened to was Halo 2 on the Xbox.
1: Because you had no option to turn it off.
2: It was rather good and fitted the gameplay like no others I've experienced.

In Skyrim, I loved to wander around at night and listen all the audio effects that were added for my immersion...rather than music which drowned it all out. Same goes for practically every game I've played...same as I never listen to music via headphones when I'm riding my Harley.
1: My exhausts are way too loud.
2:You're not likely to hear the very thing that kills you ;)

Meh! Harley's are the most efficient way of converting hydrocarbons into noise whilst completely bypassing power ;)

My inline-4 doesn't have the thump of a twin - and absolutely nowhere near the low down torque those V's have basically at idle.

But get it up to revs, and you get the whoosh, and the howl, and then you are looking at triple digits in about 8 seconds and jail time :D

Erm, yeah - Star Citizen - prison gameplay introduced for speeding yet?
