Mine just did. As for yours I don't think anybody knows until Frontier release more information.Sorry if this has been asked already (most likely it has but this thread has grown fast..) but will our Cmdr character be able to die in ED Odyssey?

I can understand that spacelegs is difficult to implement in VR.
No. It is like a new game with no VR support. I know ridiculous isn't it?We're talking about no VR on foot right?
Flight down to the planet will still be in VR won't it?
Just watching all the usual voices of dissent tear apart every great thing we see and can't imagine that as soon as you get to a planet with atmosphere of any sort the game will flip out and go pancake...

I think you can switch from VR to pancake only by restarting the game.
Think about it, now there is few launch options in launcher: "base game", "horizons" and "play in VR".
Also what would happen to VR reprojection when you toggle to legs mode, would it go black or something, many isuess there and one of them is also what kind of pc would handle full pancake resolution+VR at the same time...or that would mean some loading screen when cmdr leaving the chair.
I think it will be separate launch option as we have now that will not support any kind of VR never mind the mode you're into (on foot, on atmo planet or in space flying ship).
I'm probably not alone in thiking about subscribing to Star Citizen's forums, and encouraging them to support VR. I think the competition might Whet CIG's appetite.SC is looking better by the second
my guess: to get to graphics like in Trailer FD needs to implement a new Gra-Engine and that one isn´t ready for VR (yet?).....No. It is like a new game with no VR support. I know ridiculous isn't it?
Is Elite Dangerous: Odyssey coming to VR?
Currently, Elite Dangerous: Odyssey will not be VR-compatible at launch. We’re big fans of VR and we are truly proud of the amazing experience that we currently offer in Elite Dangerous. However, the new gameplay, mechanics and features that will be introduced with Elite Dangerous: Odyssey means that we had to re-examine if we could deliver that same experience without compromise, which, for launch, means Odyssey will not be VR-compatible.
Stay Safe, Commanders o7
Well all i can say about this announcement is well done Frontier, and i for one am super stoked and have started counting down the days to early 2021 already.
As a day one player i mean 1984 i have been through thick and thin with Elite and Elite Dangerous and feel FDEV have done us proud through the years and we should be appreciative for what we have as the game we currently have is massive and beautiful with no shortage of things to do, especially as part of a successful large squadron and all the BGS work i could play 24 hrs a day apart from work and wife stopping me i have to make do with a few hours a day.
Stop moaning everyone and enjoy what we have or move on to another game................ oh no i forgot you cant as no other game has the depth or game play of elite so just stop moaning lol.
Everyone on this thread will be downloading Odyssey on day 1 even the people with negative comments with the exception of a few VR Troopers and i get where you guys are coming from as the game is great as it is so just wait until its available in VR and it will be.
Anyway Its a big thumbs up from me keep up the good work Frontier
No VR is ???? Is that some kind of joke !!! I just dropped serious money on a new gaming rig with VR for the future in mind ! and the main game i play is ELITE....
Are you dropping VR from the main game then as well?
Or just when you're on legs, cos you know humans can't handle looking around on legs.......
SC is looking better by the second.....
You can control a ship in VR with mouse. You can control an SRV turret in VR with mouse. I don't see why you can't make an FPS shooter that uses VR and mouse in the exact same way you already did twice..."if we could deliver that same experience without compromise."
They could have done it easily I suppose if they hadn't tied it to the space legs update.my guess: to get to graphics like in Trailer FD needs to implement a new Gra-Engine and that one isn´t ready for VR (yet?).....
The info is that you will not be able to launch ED Odyssey in VR mode i.e. no 3D HMD option. Therefore you won’t be able to fly down to these newly available planets in VR, you will be limited to using Horizons as it is now. We're talking about no VR on foot right?

LOL. The problem is the whiny noisy 3% destroying all the threads, including the concept art thread. Can't even discuss the concept art.You can't play in VR can you? It makes you violently sick doesn't it. You hate the though of people enjoying themselves doing something you can't do don't you. DON'T YOU!

Odyssey is not compatible with VR at Launch...Haven't kept up with the rest of this topic. I would assume we can fly down to planets as normal, however exiting the ship (like entering the SRV) will be restricted, the option could be greyed out when running in VR.
