OMG Elite Dangerous without VR in 2021! What are you doing Frontier 🤔 Really bad news for me. VR is the future! It's a shame but it's the choice of Frontier and I can only write my deep disappointment on the forums. I am really sad to leave "my" Elite. But what can I do other ? RSI said it will be done in the final version. Frontier said there was no VR at launch, so we'll see who does it first. But I wouldn't buy Odyssey for sure and I don't see any point in continuing with Horizon (Just for info I'm triple 140, 15 billion credits, Corvette, Cutter, etc ... all almost fully equipped guardians and engineers. Not much else to do)
All my hopes are for the VR version planned for Star Citizen after the final version, even if I don't know when it will be ... Sad days 🌧

But as for political or other polls, the sample is very often a representative base of an entire community.

Oh you mean like when they poll like 2,500 people in a country of 300,000,000 and claim that that's what the majority of people think and feel? Yeah those polls are B.S.

As with the subscriptions, the vast majority of Cmdrs are against winning in the game with real money. :)

Indeed..... It comes down to how you play it and I did start with accepting why they made the call. For an MMO the option of paying for power is really bad. For an optionally MP PvE game however it is ok.

And trust me when I say I would not have been paying to get the stuff my entire premise is i want to earn this stuff myself in game so I actually may care about it

I've never ground a thing.
As all the get rich quick schemes have come and gone I've gone my own way.
You should stop making assumptions.

Before I found myself getting horribly hooked on other games (over the last year) I was far too busy exploring out towards the galactic rim to grind for credits......especially trying to get across the Formadine Rift!

Thanks for taking the time on this wonderful reply. I'm going to stick those two links into my future reading for sure. I wish I had someone I knew with a VR system near me to try. I would be a lot more interested if I could try it out.

The last 3d movies I went to were for the Hobbit. Went for the whole trilogy in one go, back to back. I left wishing I could of watched it without the 'sunglasses' tech they were using. Not actual sunglasses, but they did dull some of the vibrance from the film. Over all, I just didn't feel like they made the experience better. I would of enjoyed it all the same or a little more just seeing it normally on the big screen with my friends.
Obviously now is not the time but once the dust settles put some feelers out. I have demoed VR to 2 different forumites over the years and would happily do it again
