VR support 'not at launch' for Odyssey

No open letter?!
Give them time. I'm quite surprised theres been no mention of a Kickstarter to fund adding VR.

The weird thing about these polls is they're targeting the wrong audience - I would be asking 'Do you support keeping VR for future DLC?' and getting their 2D allies involved - at the moment I only play 2D, but I fully support keeping VR for those who want it. I guess they don't want the support 🤷‍♂️

Very possible they can't get acceptable frame rates needed for VR from the new tech

I had the same first reaction that the render engine would probably not be able to render out the additional detail. But's that argument doesn't really hold up if you consider the amount of graphical options you can turn on/off to make the game run on different machines. VR would just be another configuration of those graphical options.

So either they don't want to compromise on graphical fidelity for VR or they can't make the FPS part work in VR (which is more likely).

Flight simulator 2020 is very great engine, with many detail. And VR is a top priority, why? They listen communauty.
This is a very good point. If FS 2020 is managing VR using what looks to be pretty innovative engine providing some of the best visuals on a global scale seen on the PC, then what does that say about Frontier currently?

As VR has been much acclaimed in ED I am pretty sure it will be added again for O once they have figured out how to make it work with the systems they'll put into place. Personally I'd still like to get into VR but have been put off by the pricetag so far...

But Microsoft could just drop VR support for some DLC in five years or more too. There's no absolute guarantee that any peripheral or platform is going to be wholey supported for one paticular franchise.

The community asked for VR to be added to ED in Alpha 1, at that stage they found it could be added with relative ease and it's been highly integrated ever since.

Nothing? That prove frontier want only business and dont care about communauty with all minority. It’s sad because how many year we wait some news?

They are in place because we put money in a kickstarter never Forgot that!

Still nothing. Try to fabricate a better argument.

I'm not here to fabricate arguments.

We're not fighting to convince you, we're fighting to convince frontier. Only Frontier have the power to listen or not.

Several polls show that we are a large part of it. For my part, I've been since 2015 and I've forgiven everything because the VR experience erases a lot of things. It's a personal point of view.

Of all the millions of players many have stopped because of the lack of gameplay. And I think that those who are in VR for the most part have remained faithful.

After the announcement that means no new era for VR users. A cat is a cat... new ERA=NO VR

Well we'll go somewhere else, that's life...

Quite honestly, I do not know why people are so complaining about the lack of VR in Odyssey. FDev know many people want it, for many people it makes the game for them and I am really looking forward to being able to use it to add to the Elite Universe.
I am quite sure they will do it if it is possible, after all they have already done it so they must have good reasons for not being able to do it, perhaps technical or perhaps hardware related.
Agreed, they don't have the best track record for delivering, but they know. Let's wait and ask for things that, perhaps, they don't know.
Have patience. Wait until it is actually released before all this.

That makes way more sense than your earlier post.
