I wonder how many folks realised that even the 'Fleet week' was a direct rip off of the much maligned CoD infinite Warfare? Watch the vid.... ;)

I truly loved the campaign in infinite warfare...strange as that may seem. I still fire it up on occasion for a playthrough...Sqn 42 eat your heart out :)

Dear Mole HD,

Your heresy hasn't gone unnoticed. If I'd known you were a Goon and not Evocati, I would've bought you an avatar for your account.

IF it's true that a "FOOL" and their money are soon parted. Then there are considerably more fools in the world than one would admit to. The report is in that SC made an additional 15 MILLION during this years fleet week alone. Though I don't know the actual figures, I'd concur that ED hasn't made half of that since their first launch in 1984.
Source your quotes. :ROFLMAO:

No, really, I need to find the source of that kind of unspeakably ignorant statement. I'm sure it's the kind of place (or person) who'd be an endless fountain of side-splitting assertions if that's the level of disconnect with any known reality they've established for themselves. Doubly so since this person doesn't seem to be alone — I'm dying to find out what other unbelievable nonsense they're “concurring” with. :D

And in November there goes salvanging, and second star system, with 6 planets...
  1. I'm not giving money to Chris Roberts because he is running a scam.
  2. We can all watch Star Citizen on Twitch. We see how it actually is.
  3. We just watched Inside Star Citizen, where it is clear salvaging is years away. Why are you actively trying to mislead people?
  4. If new planets and moons and systems will be added soon, why are none listed on the roadmap?

To all those who say that space legs and ship interiors are not needed. My today morning 3-hrs adventure:
So, aside from all the physics-defying nonsense in a all of that, at what point did you do anything that other games haven't done without the myriad of bugs, warts, misfeatures, performance issues, missing gameplay, and massively outdated design sensibilities — all of which have been amply demonstrated and are available for anyone to see every time even the most positive shill streamer tries to show anything off — for the last… oh… 20 years?

And in November there goes salvanging, and second star system, with 6 planets
You've never dealt with CI¬G delivery schedules before, have you? :ROFLMAO:

You can call it scam for sure, as well as i can call ED scam, especially remembering its false-advertising launch trailers.
What was false about the advertising?

2. Yes, though pityfully we can NOT see ED on twitch
Sure you can. Did you even try looking before making this nonsense up?

Obviously you didn't watch it personally. Probably you just picked somebodie's rant as a truth. Otherwise you'd know, that first iteration of salvaging does come in November.
So in other words, it is clear that salvaging is years away, doubly so when you consider that they've made the exact same promise years ago, and it's still not around. You just chose to make some snide remarks because history (as well as the episode in question) fully supports what ECity said…

CIG more and more often adds items to roadmap only right before introducing them in-game.
So what you're saying is that CI¬G don't understand how roadmaps work and that you can never actually trust any of the marketing they put?

Look, if you're going to make things up, at least try to stay within the boundaries of what the project has amply demonstrated as reasonable over the last 8 years, as opposed to overplaying your hand like this.

I've considered streaming ED and SC and all sorts of other games I play - simply out of curiosity.

However, the only people interested in watching triple-screen gaming are other people with triple screens, and as they will in all likelihood have the games themselves they can participate in the gameplay, rather than be a passive observer. For me at least, that's far more entertaining.

Remember SC has pressure gradients and finely modelled atmospheric components, right down to O2 levels in your blood :D What is your NH3 tolerance?

<standard SC nonsense>
Chris is running a scam. This is why his family members pull down high salaries, including his incompetent wife (who they initially didn't tell backers was his wife). It's also why they keep adding pretty set pieces but not the MMO parts to SC. It's also why they're doing ToW, to give backers the appearance some progress is happening.

Yes, I watched Calling All Devs myself. I also watch tons of SC streams. I know exactly the state it is in. The roadmap doesn't include November. SC's years long track record of delaying features doesn't give anyone confidence of what is coming in November.

CIG claims to be transparent, so why are Pyro, planets and moons not on the roadmap? Why did you make a bogus claim of how fast they are producing planets when none are listed on the roadmap (and we have no actual idea how long it took them)?

You keep mentioning ED, like creationists constantly talking about evolution but never putting forward their own theory. SC isn't released, so you constantly withdraw to "how great it will be" while comparing your dreams to a released game.

To all those who say that space legs and ship interiors are not needed. My today morning 3-hrs adventure:

Jumped into my noobship, picked a mission to identify famous pirate among the crew of blasted Caterpillar.
Got to the location, EVAed out of my ship, started wandering across crashsite.
At that moment, another NPC pirate ship warps in, and explodes my tiny ship with a few shots.
Well... I fly to that NPC pirate ship... Cut with my oxy-cutter through its boarding ramp, and... see a lot of cargo inside.
I rush into the cockpit, kill both NPC pilots before they go out of their chairs - and the ship is mine.
Suddenly i exchanged my noobship for a huge and cool one, full of tasty cargo!
I fly to the nearest smugglers outpost, sell goods, and grab my credits :D
Finally i fly to the space station to get a lot of new purchases - armor, hand guns, food and water - to prepare for some additional adventures.

Then i visit a dusty moon to deliver a package. And having 60 fps on my very mediocre setup, it looks much prettier than ED trailer. Then i fly to find and pickup blackbox from crashed Starfarer. This takes place on a rather hot ammonia moon, nad i notice, that:
  • ship engines overheat at much lower speed
  • my spacesuit shows outside temperature ~220C, as in planet description
  • at that temperature i have estimated survival time (even in my armored spacesuit) about 15 minutes
  • my hydratation marker started dropping VERY quickly, so i was really glad that i purchased and took with myself a few spare bottles of water
FDev, physical atmosphere effects, anything except just bluish gradient over skybox? I hope you will do...

Then i deliver a shipment to a snow planet with very beauty big city/spaceport on it, where, on the contrary, outer temperature is very low, and again i have limited time outside of ship/buildings

In brief:
  • i've got during 3-hrs playsession, much more impressions and fun, than from 3 months of playing ED
  • i had steady 60 fps everywhere on my SSD, GTX 1600, 24gigs of ram, and ryzen 1600x
  • i had no any bugs or crashes
  • even that pair of simplest activities is fun (and eye-candy!) enough to keep me engaged longer, than all what i saw in ED through all 5 years.
  • And didn't try yet: mining, caves exploration, bounty hunting (including bounty hunt missions against players with crimestat), trading, smuggling, PVP, thug life with hunting lawful players, disabling security satellites and fighting back bounty hunters, group PVE missions of attacking giant NPC yacht (like Beluga) with combative boarding and FPS in its interiors, missions to free prisoners from big prison ship (also group ones), the prison itself and ways to go out of it

And in November there goes salvanging, and second star system, with 6 planets, on which just 6 months were spent. While on the initial current system with 4 planets CIG spent 5 years. So rate of star systems implementation became ~10-15 times faster.
And also right now CIG is opening a separate studio in Montreal, which will be working solely on star systems. Which means, well... a few star systems per year i suppose. Having every single star system containing more content and unique POIs than whole ED:H.

So, for $45 there is a lot of fun in SC, which is better, and longer, than in ED for $60. Graphics is much better, and once free fly week ended, i don't have no any bugs or crashes at all. Persistence works - what i earn, stays with me, i can buy ships for creds and fit them, as well as armor and hand guns. More and more star systems are incoming in next months/years, though even single current one provides enough fun, space and POIs for a long play.

The question is - how long time ago did you try SC, and how much decades you built your PC ago, that you have all those issues which you mumble about here :D

You Are misleading people with this „story“. The pics you posted aren’t from 45$ starter ship. I hope you try it harder next time.

This is an excellent post.

I'm just waiting until the "base-level refactoring and the engine", "the renderer", that they'll be starting on "Vulcan, DX12 refactor as well" and they're doing so much optimization that they feel like they've got to get that done first and get the base level engine stuff more finished, not constantly working and refactoring, and then ...and then

and then

they put VR in..

Chris said so here in Jan 2018

Must say, you don't get the SC fans like you used to around here. Maybe they are too busy concocting theories about Mole being a secret goon or something.

Its been a while since Mr. Novak has been around. Surely its time for him to spread some more Good News about SC!

Or perhaps the ever loveable Ben Parry can drop in to explain to Viajero (once again) about 64-bit rendering :D

Here's something picked up from the SC sub on reddit

It seems to be the latest trolling tactic - aggressively pretend that everything is perfect, and anyone who questions that is a 'FUDster', etc... just ignore them.

So... how can we tell the difference now between someone trolling and a real hardcore fan? How are backers meant to tell the difference? Should they upvote or downvote? What a quandary!
