ANNOUNCEMENT Fleet Carriers - Content Reveal Announcement

That's all I could take, going from rock to rock, shooting limpet after limpet; "Does that have any? How about that one? Damn limpet self-destructed! This isn't worth repetitive stress syndrome!"
Did you use the Pulse Wave Analyzer? Prospecting random rocks wastes a lot of time & limpets.

Pulse wave doesnt work for surface mining
They come in blocks. Once you get 20% rock, closest around should have 10-30%% too. If you see nothing, just boost 1km ahead.
Any way, borann gives steady 130t/hr if you dropped proper into tripple. Also fire groups matter. You should have such setup, like you can do things without thinking. I have collectors + lasers and prospector + something else. Fast brainless use.

Yeah if you havent seen earlier up the conversation
Ive made 22.7billion mining
At about 200million per hour
So i think i might have it down

I do know that the pulsewave scanner doesnt tell you which rocks are for sure a % of ltds in a tripple
Ive tested it
Found plenty of even upto 39% rocks that didnt light up on pulsewave

Mining LTDs but not by core blasting? OK, Commander, whatever fires off your jets lol.

Just for future reference, pulsing for Tritium rocks in the carrier beta was highly productive for me, hitting only rocks that responded to pulsing. There were no Tritium cores, just SSD, surface scabs and intrinsic lodes. One just has to learn to read the pulse responses. My average was around 200T/hr. Along the way I also mined dozens of cores of LTD, Alex, Grandi, Benito and other high-end minerals, plus not infrequent occurrences of the three other types of deposit. Some of the SSD LTD deposits were outrageously rewarding. Bodes well for when FCs go live tomorrow.

Likewise in the live game, pulsing for LTD cores also frequently reveals the other kinds of deposits. I never bothered with Borann, finding plenty of tons in systems I scouted near the best markets, going from a balance of 5.6B to 7.2B in a few days of casual effort, from rings with Major and Common reserves, rarely Pristine because the markets were well within the bubble. With a 384T hold I usually carried at most 130 limpets and rarely ran out filling that hold, because the large majority of my targets were productive. All the systems I mined were within one or two jumps of the best markets per INARA and the GalMap Commodities filter.

In the triple Borann LTD hotspot nobody was core mining. Nobody. It doesn't make sense there at all from a time perspective.

a 512 load in a cutter at 1.6mill a ton nets you 800mill a run
Its not exactly difficult
Takes 4 hours
And where does one find mission's with those type of payouts on a consistent enough bases to make more than one or possible two hours. I've done mission's that paid extremely well just as everyone has on occasion, but they are short lived. I agree if one only plays for an hour or two, once or twice a week, one or two missions that pay that well, are great. But if and when one plays for a considerable longer period of times and days per week, those mission's are far and few between.

No missions involved, just mining and selling.

wow I’m so wrong thankyou all for the great advice, if what you say is true, and you can get enough for a carrier in 5 to 6 trips then they are seriously underpriced for an end game acquisition, Ive been going about it all wrong. Thanks for the tips and see you in the black with my spanking new carrier.

Your just lazy, and the lazy will be the new ED poor from tomorrow. FC will gobble up all profitable trade routes going forward, unless you can jump 700T or cargo in a T9 or Cutter 500 LY and back, 1000LY return trip in 40 mins?

I knew this was coming but only recently found out Borann A2 triple LTD HS was going to disappear once Beta 2 went live, i sought the live Date, 9th June, and put in 2 mining shifts a day in my Mining Python, one from 6am and one from 7pm, 7 days a week. Went from just under 1b credits 3 weeks ago to 8.8b, have stopped now, last shift was this morning.

There was not much to stop anyone else doing that, looking at my INARA my mining Python cost 107m credits to build.

Yep this is true, I tested this in Borann too. you can pulsewave then limpet each one that lights up but some don't even have surface LTD deposits. And the you can randomly turn around and limpet a big "Turtleback" as I call them and it will have 34% in it but never lit up.

When was the last time you saw LTDs at 1.6 million per ton? I haven't seen that since the carrier announcement.
I also find it rare to get a full load of 512 tons. My limpet usually die faster than I can fill the hold, unless I'm lucky.
Also, I've never seen 39% rock, though I've mined a lot. The highest content so far has ben 36.49%.
Finally, not everyone has a Cutter.

last Saturday am, before the 14:00 GMT server tick....

Sewell port is paying 1.6 million a tonne, but the demand is unfortunately fairly low (705), which means that if you bring a haul back with a fairly good percentage of the requested demand you get less than this figure (I think the threshold is ~5%). GraphiteGB has doing a pretty good job keeping people updated with the big LTD buyers:
eddb.io is a good way to check up on prices of LTDs in relatively real time.

EDIT: And just as I posted this, it looks like that deal has gone....sorry about that.
EDIT2: Nope, it's still there as of right this moment.

That's why u need to park carrier there with 512 on carrier. Then use small cargo ship like 16 or 32 to brin all 512 to station :)

That's pretty much the idea. Fill up the carrier with whatever spikes well and then sell it bit by bit when the price is right.
