Notice Fleet Carrier Update - Known Issues

Frontier is now owing me 46.190,00 Cr for the fine and ~3.000.000 Cr for the mission. The fine will raise in about 8 hours, when my other missions time out, because the game hinders me from turning them in.
(I know, that it's not that much - but I carried the goods to the right system, I escaped 3 interdictions and I delivered everything!)

Okay - now my last two missions timed out without being able to turn them in.

@frontier Development, please send me
  • 2.368.822‬ Cr for the fines for not turning in the missions
  • 11.895.635 Cr for the successful delivering all goods to Snyder Enterprises in TZ Aurietis
---------------------
=14.264.457 Cr
+ 1.426.446 Cr which I am allowing to charge for the loss of faction status - to regain it (10% of the total sum)
============
15.690.903 Cr

Would be nice, if you could directly transfer it to my ingame account next working day.

If you need evidence about my missions, deliveries and fines - in case the logfiles don't show such - I have documented those for you. Just drop me a PM and I will send them to you in nearly no time.

Best regards

MadMath

Just curious ... am i the only one seeing crash reports being generated? I am not talking about some preculiar logic or missing feature ... I am talking crash. No crashes in about a thousand hours of game play. Frequent crashes since the plague patch on thursday bought all these unwanted fleet carrion into my solo game.

I had no crashes so far (crossing fingers, that I won't get this issue as well - beside the others I have :) ).
What I experienced were some disconnects and sometimes the Client won't stop. But no real crashes of the client...

Cheers

Am reading on this and other threads that the Guardian sites have disappeared. I was planning to take my carrier (with a couple of squadmates aboard) to a Guardian site tomorrow however there's no point if the sites have vanished. This being the case, again I don't see why I should pay any upkeep will the game's this bugged.

Should I make the jump(s) tomorrow or not? If I make the jumps and the sites aren't there I'll be expecting in-game credit for my lost Tritium.

I'm beginning to agree with those who are calling for this bugged update and patch to be rolled back.

Can we please have some sort of acknowledgement from Frontier? I grow tired of asking.

I went in this afternoon to synuefe KU-F B44-4 (guardian beacon) and synuefe EU-Q C21-15 (vessel blueprint) and all sites were there

i see we still have the very annoying sound problem after visiting the remote workshop?? anyone else experiencing this or is it just me?? we had this problem in beta 2, and i did report it to fdev at the time but it never got addressed i see .....View attachment 177002
Haven't experienced that but when it comes to sounds I have had the incoming message warning but no message and a rather annoying button delay sound where you click on something and the sound comes two or 3 seconds later

Just when I dock, the refuel icon is active, but there is a small bug.
When I quickly press 'down' and select 'starport services', the activity is back to the 'refuel' icon.
It last ~2s after I land and starport icons are spawned.
If I am quick about it I can select 'starport services'. If not, I need to press 'down' again'.

Yes I've had this exact issue too.

Bug or is this some feature?

I'm getting chat from Open while in Solo. It really creeped me out at first too. (And yes I checked the menu says I'm in Solo).

If it's on the system channel that's intended. If it's on the local channel it isn't.

Ok... I'll go with that but I've not changed anything and never seen it before even after trying every possible combination to try to fix a visual bug (and find those missing 'mission critical' announcements now on the transactions page). I wonder what changed? Maybe the game wasn't executing my filter settings properly or something.

At the beginning of each text line it will state the channel the message is coming from. Most systems don't have any [SYSTEM] chatter, places like Borann, Founders or Deciat often have what might loosely be described as 'propaganda' chatter ;)

The [SYSTEM] channel can be disabled if you don't want to see it. [LOCAL] is the instance you are in, and obviously if you are in solo there will be no other Cmdrs in your instance & you have found a bug :)

I've been in and around LHS 20 for a week or two, which I know to be popular so I definitely wasn't getting 'System' messages then even though I had nothing filtered out. I'll drop this now though as either user error on my part or just a one-off anecdotal issue. Thanks for your responses.

Tried now to leave Station - no effect
Leaving and reentering System: no effect
Disconnecting account and System: no effect
Switched language to english and back: no effect

I am frustrated now - will call it a day and hope, it works tomorrow again...

After all my missions from Friday and Saturday timed out, I now started a new small delivery mission.
And now it worked to turn it in.

Will try to fetch a mission from Barnard's Star to TZ Arietis again - that were the ones which did not work for me anymore...hope it's done now.

But still want to have my fine and money for the delivery, FD...

Cheers

Wll, I got a ghost crew, at least this bug is on my side... unpayed personnel not even occupying space... now I'm waiting/hoping for it to be fixed... don't want to get in the black to get told to get back to hire the crew. I can probably sell the carrier and buy it againl... but it's already full of tritium (19096t of tritium).

Prior to the patch, I had a fully functional game that I enjoyed immensely.

Then came the patch, and everything was broken. So far, so good, I expected that. Then, on the first day after the "up"grade, Frontier was all over the shop with running updates on what they were doing to fix the hot mess, which was great, at least we felt like they cared and that we were more than just cows to be milked.

Then, radio silence. Not a word. Nothing. And now they're presumably enjoying their "well-earned" weekend, and the hell with us idiot paying clowns.

I'm not impressed.

I was looking forward to jumping into the game again after this update dropped, but once I heard all ATC comms had been silenced, I decided to wait because little immersive things like that are important to me. Since then, I've been reading the forums and can see that this update is a massive bug fest beyond just FC bugs (which I fully expected).

Once upon a time, I would have been greatly annoyed by the lack of QA, but not anymore. Not after years of watching this transpire time and again. This isn't due to some flaw in FD's management style, or a failing of the QA team. Rather, I have no choice but to now conclude that this is just the way FD likes to operate. Get the update out there on Day X, ready or not, and we'll worry about fixing it in the following weeks - is FD's modus operandi. Is it an odd way to manage your premier product? Sure! This is why few other devs operate in a similar fashion. But Frontier seems to think is A-OK. Perhaps they are right as the game's base continues to grow despite the regular dosages of outrage.

Well, time to return to my modus operandi post-ED update release: go play other games for a few weeks. Unexpectedly, I have bought the "beginner's box" of Battletech. One of the great things about board games is the lack of ~20 gb installations and needing to wait for devs to fix buggy code. :D

accidental refuel/repair/rearm launch have always been there, now they are there TWICE and are a fail in programming and worse fail in GUI
I play in VR+HOTAS and I can tell that at least twice already hit "Launch" instead of "Starport services". I swear I only hit down hat once, but cursor jumped to the "Launch" right away. Perhaps it was due to the fact that I was in the galaxy map just before that. I don't know.

FDevs: Please, at least make the launch sequence abortable.
