Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

Wow, your talk so much about this game... more than 850 posts since june.
If its already dead, don't waste your time on it. Why spending so much time talking about it ?

I'm not sure who you are taking about as you did not quote them (it does not matter), In the tradition of this forum I will respectfully disagree with your mathematics about 850 posts. You will learn that basing your adding up on the actual facts, will always cause you to be wrong here.
It is more likely that they only posted 5 times.
and repeated each of those posts 170 times

Not to say you are wrong, but i never recall CIG talking about so many systems.

There again, CR said so many things over the years, its easy to believe they would say anything.
I think it was during the early post-KS days (2012-2014) when i read that. In my mind they shrank that number to 100, then to 5 at a more recent date, then to 1 maybe 2 if they manage to complete Pyro before 2021, but since that's not on any roadmap, who knows...

Lol, are you drunk posting again No2? ;)

Of course good sir. All facts point to pro-SC conclusions. All negatives are mere conjecture.

Or are you just talking in silly stereotypes, perhaps? ;)

...I don't really like when someone get back an old post, so I will not do it myself.
I'm afraid this forum is too active and fast for me.

I really wouldn't worry about rehashing an old topic. That's about 90% of all the posts here*. :ROFLMAO:

And the thread runs hot and cold. I think it depends on how much Vimto or Irn Bru we've all been consuming.

e. For the avoidance of doubt, my score is closer to 99%.

Here's one backer wanting to limit how many times we can say something. He's quoting another backer who wants to limit who can comment on the game.
Don't you dare criticising them! You're suppressing their right to free speech! You should better shut right up. Suppressing the free speech is evil. And nasty. Everyone should shut up and only listen to their free speech. It - and only it - needs to be heard - no other speeches are to be heard. They're not worthy or whatever (just insert your favourite enemy in). This lame pattern is very popular at the moment.

It seems posting here is not really a good idea for me, I will be torn appart ;)
More likely, you will be hypnotised by the red eyed cows, mowed down by the infamous mower or simply fall asleep reading one of the longer posts or perhaps succumb to letting our resident Agony Aunt put you right. Seriously my friend, welcome to the mad house! Eight years, 12 threads and still counting.

Alas in the real world too.

In other news, we have always been at war with Eastasia.

Well, you see, we just follow CR's logic.

Because this forum is crowdfunded every post made by us is worth 5 posts made with a traditional forum.

Looking for a job?... Looks like CIG is hiring...

Yeah....no.
I've got a sibling who was offered a job at the Austin, Texas office and after touring the studio and talking privately with several employees my sibling turned CIG down flat. Not only was morale extremely poor, but in an industry where abuse is rampant the conditions there were even worse than "the norm".

I feel all the worse about it, as I was the one who introduced SC to them back in the days before I became a jaded cynic.

I think the Calder money was an investment rather than a loan the initial $46,000,000 gave them a 10% stake. So it is not a debt or outstanding. (correct me if I missed a loan from them)
CIG did take out loans from a bank in the UK that was no doubt dissected here 3 or 4 years ago. I presume that they have been paid back when they got the UK government rebate. My understanding was that they would take out this loan annually and repay it annually as long as it made sense financially with the interest rates and £/$ exchange rate. Given the 2020 low interest rates I would not be surprised if they were still doing so. If at any point they fail to repay those loans then I presume the bank would own the company a bit like getting your house repossessed.

If CIG collapse then Calder probably loses all their money or has to try to reclaim what they can from the ashes. I do not know how that would work or which jurisdiction it would take place in. If anyone knows the terms of the Calder investment they may be able to enlighten us. The terms of the bank loan are probably available in the UK.

Unless you have actual info on the Calder´s deal terms there is really no way to know. I, for one, highly doubt the Calders "investment" was pure equity as you suggest, especially given their reputation. There are many viable and proven ways to include very specific return conditions to such investments, especially on the US side of the equation where the ownership is not based on traditional shares but on LLC unit participation.
