Chris Roberts had stated that if at least $23 million could be raised over the course of the crowdfunding campaign, no outside investors' or developers' funding would be required.
Overall, its things like this that show CR had absoloute zero concept of how much money he needed to make a decent game
Maybe there should be a forum section in general titled 'Games you're playing instead of Star Citizen?'
I played ARMA 3 with Drewski way back...he ran a good server.I've spent years not playing SC, I'm an expert on this topic!
But the thing that keeps calling me at the mo is VTOL in VR. I'm still too tight to buy it on 30% sale, but this guy's vids keep tempting me to grab it. (Virtual cockpit, narrative missions, lots of flying close to things to dump missile tracking and the like)
(I can't remember if you have VR or not? If so kick around the 'Many Games That Are Not Elite' thread in my sig)

As part of our commitment to open and transparent development, we’ll be regularly sharing these infographics with you...
CIG posted some fluff today describing the most worn armor, etc. That's fine. But they have the nerve to start the article out this way:
Fashion in the 'Verse
Roberts Space Industries is the official go-to website for all news about Star Citizen and Squadron 42. It also hosts the online store for game items and merch, as well as all the community tools used by our fans.robertsspaceindustries.com
I've kinda got out of the habit of playing SC over these last few weeks...like everyone else, I seem to be mightily bored with the 3.9 clusterfarce, the bugs and account issues as well as crappy server performance overall.
I can't see any road to great improvement when the much vaunted 3.10 appears...but I'll no doubt give it a go anyway. Like a few...I've even taken to firing up Elite occasionally amidst hundreds of hours in IL2 and associated bits of that from Flying Circus to tank battles.

Ah, infographics about what people have spent the most money on. Yes, that's really open and transparent development.
lol, i dont think you can buy most of that stuff with real life cash. those are ingame purchases.
Not despondent..not any more than usual anyway...there's just more engaging stuff to play than Star Citizen for me at the minute. As for the missus...I'm in the dog house again for eating 'her' Topic bar that was lying in the fridge all dejected. Like most women, she has no understanding of the..'If it's in the fridge, it's public property' rule we guys all live by. Suggesting she should have written her name on it didn't do me any favours of course...Blimey Mole you sound more despondent than ever, tell you what, got a solution. Go upset your missus a bit more than normal and all the pain will go away......forever.....eternity......
I find it more interesting from other PoV - those numbers all seem to roughly add up to 40 - 50k. Supposing you are likely to purchase something (if only backpack or armour to carry more), it tells that there were 40 - 50k PCs in that time period, maybe 60k if we account for overhead.Ah, infographics about what people have spent the most money on. Perhaps next they can do a breakdown of how many ships of different types they have sold over the years. Would love to see how many whale chariots have been sold.
So I wouldn't bet on more than 20k unique players per 50 days - which doesn't seem that much.
You should really consider R* Bully 2 Scholarship edition which you can get on Steam. One of the best sandbox and light RPG games R* has made to date. It's a delightful school house romp through the eyes of a teen boy (Jimmy) who is from a dysfunctional family. As Jimmy, you find yourself immediately abandoned at the gates of Bullsworth Academy at the start of his junior year. Unceremoniously dumped by a gold digging mother and rich step father who's old enough to be your grandfather. And very quickly, learn as Jimmy how to walk a fine line (or not) navigating the hazardous power cliques run by several student group tropes right out of the 80's Breakfast Club. These (in order of progressing fighting ability/increasing physical toughness) are the Bullies, Nerds, Preppies, Jocks, Greasers and finally Townies (who consist of mostly school dropouts or young adult/blue collar hood toughs that typically dislike everything to do with Bullsworth)I am mostly playing light games, since I am on laptop on vacation - WoT, Super Animal Royale, Dead Cells, KanColle.
