DLC speculations

Hi guys!
Now we have an attic pack, an sout America pack and soon a Australia pack.

What do you think we will get next if frontier continue whit this red thread?

My guesses (wishes) is:
Nordic pack - Moose, fox’s, beaver
Oceana pack - otters, seals, penguins
Africa pack - meerkats

I would like either North America pack ideally with moose, beaver, lynx and wolverine. Or aquatic pack with california sea lion, emperor penguin, some smaller penguin (maybe african) and otter.

But it is too soon to think about that. I cannot wait for Australia one :)

I feel that there are three species missing, that are very popular because if their liveliness and inhabit most zoos:

  • sea lion
  • a small Pinguin species
  • meerkats

Thus I hope the next DLC is either a Marine DLC or an Africa DLC. Possible roosters are:

- Marine DLC: Californian Sea Lion, Humbold Penguin, a otter species, a manatee subspecies

- Africa DLC: Southern White Rhino, Meerkat, Hamadryas Baboon, Red River Hog

Hmm... I dunno... maybe something like this?

-North America Pack-
American Alligator (Alligator mississippiensis)
American Beaver (Castor canadensis)
Bobcat (Lynx rufus)
Wolverine (Gulo gulo)

-Africa Pack-
Aardwolf (Proteles cristata)
Crested Porcupine (Hystrix cristata)
Gerenuk (Litocranius walleri)
White Rhinoceros (Ceratotherium simum)

-Asia Pack-
Raccoon Dog (Nyctereutes procyonoides)
Sichuan Takin (Budorcas taxicolor tibetana)
Siberian Musk Deer (Moschus moschiferus)
Sloth Bear (Melursus ursinus)

-Tropical Pack-
Capybara (Hydrochoerus hydrochaeris)
Proboscis Monkey (Nasalis larvatus)
Malayan Tapir (Tapirus indicus)
North Sulawesi Babirusa (Babyrousa celebensis)

-Desert Pack-
African Spurred Tortoise (Centrochelys sulcata)
Meerkat (Suricata suricatta)
Nine-Banded Armadillo (Dasypus novemcinctus)
Perentie (Varanus giganteus)

...I honestly just kinda slapped these together in a hurry... tried to get in what I wanted... but at the same time tried to stick to particular themes... they're alright suggestions, I guess...

It is kind of open ended but now that we have (or rather will have in a few days) an Australian pack, I don't think the next releases are quite as obvious. My three big thoughts:

African support pack:
Meerkats, African Leopard, White or Black Rhino, and either the Jackal, Honey Badger or Crested Porcupine as the 4th. Black Mamba as the exhibit animal

North America:
Moose, Coyote, North American River Otter and American Black Bear, Snapping Turtle as the exhibit. I know the Puma/Cougar seems obvious as well, but we've got plenty of cats thus far.

Coastal Pack:
Walrus of some type, California Sea Lion, King Penguin and a seal of some kind. This may take a little longer as they do have more water based activities, but they could make them just float for the time being. They are not fully marine animals. Exhibit animal: kind of at a loss here. A crab of some sort?

What about a CATS FROM AROUND THE GLOBE pack?

Containing: Canadian lynx, Cougar, Pallas Cat, Amur leopard, Serval, Iberian lynx, Clouded leopard, Eurasian lynx?

ow damn, I'd just love to get the Pallas Cat (._.)

If we are going with the same logic a lot of people used for the Australian DLC, which is the lack of animals from that continent.
I think Europe would be next.

Going with most interesting one: North America or Europe.
Even though I think the African DLC could address some pretty nice animals.

(assuming Frontier stays with continent based DLC, which is a fair assumption based on previous DLC)

I wonder if, once all the continents have been gone through with 4/5 animals and a couple of building sets (and counting the arctic as a continent, in place of antarctica), Frontier will go back through and do an animal-only pack for each continent, filling out the roster with another 4/5 animals from the continent (and give us musk ox, arctic foxes, capybaras, maned wolves, and emus while they're at it!), but with no (or minimal) additional building pieces?
Seems like it would be less of a deviation from their model than suddenly introducing a massive marine or aviary pack. This could be started with an Africa pack as the last of the continent packs, not introducing a building theme, as there are already a few African themes in game.

Something like that would work for me. Someone had suggested a pack totally of species of a particular animal (like 5 lions, giraffes, etc) and I could not get behind that. But if they did a "cats of the world" "dogs of the world","horses of the world", etc that I could definitely be interested in.

I view these first three DLC packs as being representative of the first three updates for Planet Coaster - we had Christmas/N. Hemisphere Winter (Arctic), Spring/Easter (South America), and now Summer (Australia). After that, for PlanCo next came the Spooky Pack, followed by an Anniversary Update towards the end of the year. Given the scheduling for PlanZo is so out of whack because of Covid (I suspect we were supposed to get 1.3.0 and the Australia Pack earlier, but who would know?) they might end up folding the next DLC and anniversary update into one feature for November. Or the anniversary update might just be all they originally had planned for the end of this year, but in any case I suspect we'll see something arrive at that time.

In any case, if the first three DLC packs are in-line with the first three updates for PlanCo, then the next DLC might be something bigger, or different - something that is more of a game changer than simply new content. My best guess for it would be the inclusion of birds, if they are able to do that.

Alternatively, things might go the way of Jurassic World Evolution, and we might instead see smaller animal-only packs coming into play now that the major themes have been covered.

Hi so the next DLC would we be looking at autumn with a one year old birthday update as well in November So could it be (European or North American) and then a winter update in February, If winter in February, we had artic February just gone so could it be Antarctic in which case would that be penguins and seals not sure what other animals could go with this (this could introduce an aquatic update)

So IMHO I am going for North America or Europe in November and Antarctic in February

Best Regards
