2nd level stable/shelter for Indian elephants

Hi guys
I've built a large Indian temple containing a habitat, many exhibits and a restaurant. Now I thought I was ready for its last addition: elephant stables on a second level inside.
I managed to build a bridge/ramp for the elephants to walk on from their outside habitat towards the entrance of the stables, but there begins my problem.
The navigable area of the elephants abruptly stops right before the entrance. I've tried making the opening wider and higher, but to no avail.
The last two pieces of the bridge are floor tiles (Indian sandstone brick), the same as the ones inside and the navigable area goes over them without problem.
Is there anything else that might be the cause of this issue and any way to solve it? I've put a lot of work in this bridge (several weeks now, including research) and having to place the stables on ground level is going to be a really messy reconstruction of the temple... :(
Many thanks for your help!

A bit later than anticipated, but here are the screenshots I promised.
As you can see,the navigable area for the elephant abruptly ends before the doorway and since the last two pieces of the bridge are the exact same floorpieces as those inside, I'm really abashed. :S
Any help is most welcome.

Looks like the Entrance you've planned is too small. They've made the Hitboxes for some Animals extremely big when they changed the Hitboxes. That Entrance will sadly even be too small for a Indian Rhinoceros. I don't know how wide and high the Entrance needs to be, so you need to experiment a bit. I would recommend to use your biggest Elephant for testing, so all of them can go inside

Hmmmm, I thought as much. But opening up half of the side wall, it still didn't change anything (see screenshot). So I was convinced that wasn't the problem...
If it really is that, I have no idea how much bigger the entrance has to be?
I was hoping there could be different causes to the issue.

Even though it doesn't look like that, it could maybe also be a Problem with the Ramp. If making the Ramp wider also doesn't help, I will make a few Experiments in Sandbox
