I'd been shot down by SPEAR outside Robardin Rock after trying to kill one of their leaders. I think it was, like, me against eight or more of them?
Shot them a GG. It was a fair kill. All good. Lost a FDL rebuy, no big deal.
Then they said they weren't gonna leave me alone. I asked them how many kills they were looking to get. At least as many as I've had on other players.
This number is very, very high.
I thought it over... bought an Eagle... and yeet.

And even then that was a reach not even stretch armstrong could make. The spin though...Got dizzy reading that.
It was 2x wings of 4, which I think is becoming the norm for a planned attack like that, a mate of mine got taken out the same way (in a high CZ), seems effective & I suppose it's more a test of whether the player will CLog than anything else.
Returning to the bubble was an interesting idea, a strategic choice not really available in the bubble.

I have the whole 2.5h encounter on video, just no time to edit it yet. The video they have up is a little distorted as it's not in order and missing the crucial part of the brave eagle kill outside the station. I think it was around 14 to 4 or so at times. Even Lekeno came and left after seeing the big disparity. They got a minus point on our internal gwiefer/terrorist ranking for that one. The only one at +9, the rest of all active SPEAR in Colonia is at +10.

We have established over the past 150-odd pages that is not the case. Just a few jerks (in-game) not owning it (out of the game), that's all.

The final 'reveal' is that most of the thread wasn't people lacking a basic understanding of how actions & interactions work at all, but in fact they were all just lying, 'pretending' to not grasp really simple stuff to 'wind people up'. They are actually really cool & well adjusted people IRL, which apparently this thread is not. It's all role play of course.
So sort of griefing the thread, which is what griefers do. I feel for them, and try to help them. Not everyone wants to be helped, and they lash out, which is maybe what you are interpreting as 'moaning'

Tonight was a really good night on the "wholesome ganking" front. Nearly all friend requests sent were received. The vast majority of those resulted in an interaction like the below.
This pilot was brand new, and had built a Vulture based on tips they'd found from Youtube and similar. It was actually one of the best-built ships we saw all evening, it lasted longer than some of the Corvettes and Anacondas we came across.

What you are doing here isn't far off how I've played for years, although I tend to play the 'vulnerable trader' in need of an escort & persuade people to wing up with me. They get to pop all the mission pirates & grab whatever mats they want, and if they struggle with the NPCs I can help them out. Then I can share a wing mission reward & everyone has fun
Most people are never seen again, some hang around for a few days, some are still helping me
And some have a poor attitude & I just leave them to go on their way, no big deal.
