At the moment, life with one account is simple - done all the engineering, got all the ships I want and starting another one again ... without my nice paint jobs and Cobra IV .... even the sunglasses are no longer free

I've already got 3 accounts, I can certainly see your point of view. In contrast maybe one or two of my accounts perhaps has all the ships they may want (unless I decide to get multiple specialist versions). I don't think I have any ships fully engineered at the moment and the prospects of a fully engineered fleet or any of my accounts seems distant at best. The paint jobs are certainly an issue, the Cobra IV not so much ( the one account that was entitled to the CobraIV had advanced to a point where it wasn't an attractive option)

I'm half tempted to get one to keep wiping, to experience the fun of the early gameplay, before the grind makes it a hard choice.

Having reset my save a couple of times, it's amazing how much easier the game is when you start again. The one thing you can't reset is your knowledge. If you do start over again, (esp if you haven't started again in years) you'll find you'll progress up through the ships so much quicker now. Yes credits are easier to come by, but you will also have knowledge of where to go, what to do that brand new players won't have.

This is awesome. My only complaint is at some point you start using quotes from people talking about Tencent and Epic Store as if people are talking g about the same thing. Other than that 9/10 needs more free stufff

It is certain to be included as part of an amusing storyline just because of its entertainment value - after all, the link between Tencent and Epic was made - making it appear as if they were both 'evil monsters' just by existing...

Well .... I did compare them to Disney ... so ...

To Clarify ... Yes I don't like Epic. I have issues with the way they do business. I won't say no to free games though.
And I don't limit that to Epic, in the UK we have a bus company called Stagecoach. When they started they put a lot of other bus companies out of business. Others might forget that, but I won't.
I don't like how Disney buy everything. I'll still buy their movies though ... and yes I see the hypocrisy in that.

What I am trying to say is, I don't have to like a company, but I don't let that stop me from enjoying stuff.

There's a reason there's organisations in countries, such as the monopolies and mergers commission in the UK (I forget the one in the US) that stops companies from acquiring too many other companies and growing too large. When Tesco bought Safeway, the Monopolies & mergers commission ruled that Tesco had to sell off a large percentage of the stores. There's often concerns when news media acquire too many other news media.

Have you seen how much Disney owns? Buy n Large, it's scary.

There was a massive spike in cheaters using hacks in GTA after it was given away for free on Epic store. Basically you can't enter a public lobby now without someone using cheats (godmode for example), offering free credits, or causing it to rain aeroplanes.

Seems like people don't care about losing accounts they get for free, especially when they register via 10 different email addresses and get 10 copies. Expect a massive uptick in griefing/ganking as well once those people get some stuff unlocked and credits (although griefing can often be done on the cheap).

I can see why this is good for FD overall and good for the game in general over the long term, but do expect a huge uptick in cheats/ganking in open. Oh, and existing gankers, don't laugh, because some of those coming in via free accounts will be flying godmode ships, and won't care about being reported, they will harvest your salty tears just as easily as they will anyone elses.

I was talking about Epic. In the game industry it is not at all in a dominant position, on the contrary, the one that is in a dominant position about the PC Games market is Steam not Epic.
You rightly are against monopolies and at the same time support Steam and Apple and bash Epic that is trying to break it, you are a little bit contradictory.
