Seems nobody (of the standard long range haulers) used the help of the neutron star Omega Carinae, halfway between the bubble and Coalsuck...
I have yet to learn the art of neutron boosting and wouldn’t have tried it during a CG if I had been aware of the star.

Not sure if this has been answered or asked before...
What happens if you're at the max storage limit of 120... and you did both CG does it go up to 122 storage limits for modules...
Your two most valuable and or hardest to engineer modules get deleted

is probably not what happens, but it is not an experiment I would like to try.

Buy a ship and stick some stored modules on it to make space.

I'm assuming these are all engineered modules then, otherwise just sell and rebuy as and when needed
that's a point, do you get more/some mats back when you sell an engineered part?

Unfortunately not, you only get your money back. I can't tell you how many shield boosters and weird weapon configurations I have stored away because I couldn't possibly grind them back to g5 from scratch.

This!

And I feel the enormous economical power of the FC marks the end of an era.
No independendent freelance commander has any chance (at all) to compete with FCs at ranges +300 LY , no matter how he tricks out his Conda/Cutter/T-9.

I started out refitting my trusty Anaconda for long range hauling. Trying to stick to the old ways like a true Samurai (or the Dodo?).
After 4 tiresome runs - realizing the futility - I turned to loading FC's following the old rule "if you can't beat them, join them". And the co-operation involved was fun and lead to more immersion, as some FC owners reached out on the board etc. . Loading in open led to friendly encounters (and friendly bloopers around the Mailslot) with other CMDRs also busy hauling.
In the end due, to RL matters (wife and kids), I never got a chance to unload an FC and profit for the CG. The FC I had loaded for hours was already emptied when I got a chance to play again.
And it dawned on me that all the regular CMDRs are now just "hired" hands at the mercy of the FC owners. (At least if they wan't a chance for a reward in hauling CGs in the current format)

The only idea to give regular commanders hauling CGs with a chance would pprobably be shorter ranged hauling (max. 150 LY?) to Outposts in Systems (Sectors?) locked locked for FC's due to too heavy Thargoid presence or some such...

Still - congrats to the winners of this CG!

I found an FC commander who locked down his FC for his hauling crew only. Most fun collaborating I had in this game ever.

Only issue with that is it locks it down to same platform only. Gone is the only cross-play teamwork we do have. Unintended consequence but added a sour taste for me, luckily found plenty who were open but maybe werent as chatty or active. I've never been excluded by a Cmdr at a Community Goal before for playing on console, Ive missed out maybe coz I havent been on PC but never been excluded.

Edit: Allowing me to join more than one squadron would fix this btw.

FCs are not the problem, Its the broken economy that made FCs dime a dozen. I think price points are fine for them and the maint fee is ok. The way that credits are earned and the amounts has made it to where everyone can become billionaires in short order, the current open a system map and see 50 FC in an area in the blink of an eye. Don't think that was the intended idea of them. If the economy stays such as it is, then FCs need to have a steep fee for not sitting stationary, but for quick jumps back and forth. Sure you wanna jump it 2 or 3 times in a day, fine. Anymore than that needs to come with stiff cost or cool down IMO...

Dont get me wrong, I'm loving the buzz coming back to this game with lore and CGs exe. Lets shoot for some balance... ( not Fdevs strong point )

Well the problem is no-one has been wiling to 'test' it so far, you have 2 FSDs, why not have 119 modules in storage and see what happens, for The Community :)

Its the only way of doing it so in that sense it is 'worth it' but its more of a pita frankly. There are numerous ways to make it better and since FCs the limited storage is no longer universal nor keeps memory down or whatever the reason was behind it in the first place, it may have made sense then, does it still make sense now?.

I really hope we will see the day when an FC will offer a bit more storage room for modules...
Right now, is just plain stupid to have room for 25 000 tones of merchandise AND 50 fraking ships ( imagine 50 T9 !) but, in same time, no room for just one extra module...

Barely missed the 25% cutoff by like 1000 tons. Wasn't able to make it to the CG until Saturday night and it finished within 12 hrs. Sad to miss out on the double engineered FSD... hopefully there's another CG in the future that will offer it as a reward again.
Sorry about that. It's unlikely that this reward will be repeated.

I hope there's another CG similar to this one.
I'd like to work cooperatively with a bunch of other commanders, maybe setup a Discord channel? I don't have a carrier but can haul so much crap really quickly in my Cutter.
I was on Discord, using the tools available there. There are not the ingame tools needed for carriers to contact customers, except by the chat window. Pretty cumbersome, and possibly intrusive. Spamming the local system with messages is not the best way to advertise.

That the forum was more effective for me to help players than the game could is a statement.
