Ships Elite Dangerous Efficient Engineering using Colonia Engineers and Fleet Carriers

An Independent Defence Agency guide: Elite Dangerous Efficient Engineering using Colonia Engineers and Fleet Carriers

Extract from the introduction:
" In this guide, it’s shown how to have a fully engineered PvP ship in the minimal possible time using only 3 engineers in Colonia (after unlocking them by doing some grade 3-4 with other 3 in the bubble). Using this guide, it’s shown how to avoid having to do some of the most annoying and time consuming tasks in the game (for those that have a clear objective that it is engineering), such as having to jump 5000 light years for one, mining 500 tons of ore for other, trade 50 markets, travel long distances multiple times to deliver rare commodities, and quite few others boring tasks. The Colonia engineers are easier to unlock, and now it is possible to move a fleet or modules there for engineering using the services of many Fleet Carriers that make the round trip almost weekly to and from the Bubble. The strategy is to fulfil all possible requirements while in the bubble, buy ships and modules at a discount, get everything on board a Fleet Carrier (FC) and engineer them in Colonia, then make the way back also onboard another FC. "

Sorry if this seems harsh, but are you suggesting avoiding

by travelling to Colonia?

Erm.....

Not harsh at all.

And yes, that is something that you will indeed find in the guide.
You don't need to jump 5000 ly to be able to engineer your thrusters. Instead, you can get your ships onboard a FC and take a ride to Colonia.

You can do engineering in many ways, most probably they will be effective - you will get your engineering done eventually.

This method I shared is more efficient in the current game context - 1) we have 3 engineers in Colonia that can do all the engineering you can only achieve in the bubble by unlocking a dozen of other engineers, and 2) you can get your modules and ships onboard a Fleet Carrier, taking them all to Colonia quickly and cheap.

You can now do engineering in less time, with much less grind.
