FDev: Credit rebalancing incoming, "more reward for higher risk" activities

I stopped playing when my brother mentioned we already had enough money from a few cargo runs to retire in luxury for the rest of our lives. The laughable lack of any kind of realism in this game, across the board, made a mockery of sense of achievement or satisfaction in just about anything. He'd made a billion from mining in a little over a week after I'd bought him the game what are you doing. Lol.

Soon as I've upgraded my card I'll give SC a proper go. I have it already but it's a bit janky at 3440x1440 with a 1080Ti.
Don't forget to buy an Idris!

I doubt they can manage. They already unleash bulletsponges on unengineered commanders. Either there is a technical problem implementing some sort of difficulty choice or they are totally oblivious to such design. I mean you could tie it to e.g. anarchies - not everywhere so you don't lock out peasant players like me - and job well done, imo.

No they don't 'unleash bulletsponges on unengineered commanders'- the only time this happens is via Elite missions or CZs. General PvE is nearly all engineer free.

Obsidian Ants' video mentioned future changes to commodity trading.

I'm looking forward to further info on what they might be.

So, we're all in agreement then?

Fantastic work, everyone.

So your criticisms are valid and I think it's great that there's lots of choice for other games but if your intent is to quit Elite for another game to avoid things that irritate you...

My guess is SC might not be the most sensible choice...

You are going to LOVE SC - have fun! (y)

"Play the game" you mean. Nothing is gated, adding harder missions would add choice and allow greater payouts.
I take significanttly longer to grind vanilla gameplay now since they buffed AI to ridiculous levels with hull tanking. Unless I grind engineers. It's obviously gated off. And CZ are staple BGS gameplay. As a result the whole stupid game became a putrid slog.

Again- play the game. Engineers are part of that game. Its like saying you can't shoot a Goomba in Mario Brothers because Fire Flowers gate it.

No, it's not fun anymore. I bought a space game to fly around, not online rouletto game with wanton powercreep. And make no mistake: they can do the same crap tommorow again and nerf your stuff. Maybe with Odyssey. FD don't have scruples to crap on player progress for further sales. New players are more valuable to them.

No, because I'll play the game to offset the challenges posed. What I won't do is declare a whole system of the game 'a gate' and refuse to engage further.

The game needs a proper PvE difficulty curve now, one that does not top out so soon.

All very promising but I also hope they rebalance AX combat (didnt see it on the list but may have missed it). In my experience AX combat can be the most difficult, most dangerous and longest lasting combat scenario outside of PVP. I feel that AX combat can use a good buff in payouts.

Also, I'd love to see more of a use for those Thargoid parts that can be salvaged, engineering or other things.

2 million per heart bounty?
