I feel like this might just be me, but I just purchased ED on steam (the free sale) and I'm trying to log in, but it says "Please prchase/redeem Elite Dangerous to continue." What do I have to do here?

you mean you got the game from epic games launcher, because its not free on steam

So I got a bit further I think, but still getting the redeem/purchase message when I try and log in - is this still broken or do I have a different issue??

The same thing is happening to me. I restarted the launcher and now it says it needs an update, and to manually update it, which I've done 5 ing times.

If, say, you already had a couple of Elite accounts - on Steam and stand-alone - can you get a free new one on Epic? Or will it over-write one you already have?

possibly by using a new email address you have never used with frontier perhaps ? Considering how borked it is right now we will have to wait until at least that part works i suspect.

I actually got involved once. I couldn't choose a name because it just couldn't go any further. ended and restarted. Now he wants another update that doesn't come. is again typical frontier

You'll need to use a different email address than the one already registered with Frontier, whether that's a new Epic account or changing your existing account to use a different email.

This is nothing unexpected from Frontier, this happen A LOT and I mean like a lot a lot. Exploits, bugs, glitches, straight up errors. This is all day everyday here at frontier. Oh and FREE TO PLAY greed in full price AAA games. Yep that's FDEV for you. Either run or brace for impact. This is going to be a big one.

Is it as bad as ZOS (Elder Scrolls Online) with 12h maintenance windows almost every week and bugs so old they can have grandchildren?

All time a lot of problems with EGS, and now with Frontier? Hm hm, just deleted this trash with egs client good luck... :D

Oh and one more thing: in game income of credit was NOT balanced in 5 years, game progression is a joke you can get elite rank (maximum prestige) in 1 hour, earning credits balance makes no sense, there is NO progression (if you're into that sort of thing), combat is anything but balanced. Oh and game depth is almost zero.

Yeah, more like unbalanced. With each bigger update, credit earning has become ridiculuously easier, and that has made Trade & Exploration Elite ranks laughably easy to achieve.
But once you get over that, you might even like the game. I know I do. :)

Yeah, after training i feels about poor gameplay and empty world, maybe for space is okay, but for game about space is really poor, because i hope on the game where world will be full of details, opportunities and interesting movement with each other on the same ship from the first person, with the ability to fight each other even with your hands and features as in Sims + BF + GTA + Star Citizen Alpha + EVE together + other games and multiplied on x9999.
:(Is like Star Citizen in Dreams, utopia with hardcore and an endless desire to try different things, new and learned
