Can SLF pilots get a balance pass too?

It should really be capped as well. At like 350,000 credits per "hand in"

If earn a couple of million trading in my Cutter - they really dont need that big of a stake (especially if they were never used).

Where as if I took X million of goods from A to B, then a percentage up until a max cap of 125k for them seems reasonable right?

YES!!!!

Why:
  • do we need to pay them more than a salary (if that) if they are not doing work
  • do they get paid a percentage of gross ... and not net like the real world works
  • do they get a huge cut of transactions which have nothing to do with their profession

And don't even get me started on the lag inducing bug.
Which lag educing bug. Given all the others, I'm not sure I noticed this one.

Lets put it this way... my crew could jointly buy and fully equip and fund a CARRIER with what they have made.... oddly... they stay with me in their low position

I wouldn't mind if they chipped in on expenses too. We're a crew only when we're earning, turns their back as soon as there's something to pay.

Not sure I heard of or realized this bug. Please enlighten me.
SLF npc pilots make the instance unbearably laggy for everyone involved apart from the player who launched it.
It really needs fixing and is unwanted in open

One of the main reason I never used np crew for longer then 1 time and fired him... never looked back.
So just salary ... or gtfo

You're a tad bit late with your suggestion.

Agreed... taking 20% of my money and they sit around most of the time. a bit much
Then fire them, if you don't like to pay them. I'm sure they will find another job soon enough.

They should not take our money when not active, but then there should be a chance someone else hires them in the meantime

It takes a long time to level up 2 ELITE pilots

Their pay is to high

They should only take a cut when ACTIVE

Greetings,

The payout numbers are what they are. We're hiring mercenaries in a dangerous universe so they expect to be paid a lot more than a standard military career and they take more risks without the support of a government military organization...Just you and a SLF pilot. If your combat skills are lacking well so much for that current mercenary.

On the game side I've hired many for fun working out combat tactics. I never got emotionally connected to them and advanced several to Elite. Still when I went to another play style as in making millions of credits I fired them. Nor did they ever put a dent in my long journey to become Combat Elite as they took 50 percent of my experience points. They were a lot more fun after I made Elite attacking and giving me more time to play with PowerPlay weapons to see if they were useful. Some not so much.

If new to the game an SLF pilot can add a distraction while you are hauling cargo to make profits to get something better. But in the end it is up to you to take out the bad guys and save your SLF pilot. When you connect with the game play you have a slight advantage with a SLF pilot. Then again a good live player never needs a SLF pilot. To me they are more an eye candy feature to have fun with. Joining a squadron with live players and a comm headset works a lot better. Still they make for awesome screenshots feeling a little safer...You decide.

Off to get my free daily Christmas ARX and another run to pay my Fleet Carrier weekly bill. Enjoy.

Regards

Again: why would they wait for you if you don't pay them?
You just want it easier, right?
If you can't afford having crew members on payroll, then... maybe you should reconsider.
You can always hire pilot for a job and fire him after. Even before you get reward, which means you'll not pay him anything.
If you want to have better, trained pilot, you must pay to keep them - there must be some drawback.

Paying them whether they are active or not makes sense. You're hiring them and expect them to be ready whenever you need them.
You should be glad it's not weekly salary and you must only pay them percentage of your earnings when you are actually playing and earning.

TWO.... we can still be correct they are paid to much

THREE... they have made 8 Billion sitting in the lounge mostly

FOUR... i will still keep them regardless

FIVE... they are paid to much

Nodding and looks of agreement.

Astonished gasp and bewilderment
