Who else DOESN'T hunt thargoid interceptors, and why not?

there is still a imput lag on console when you fighting in a wing. Sometime the thargoids are doing weird thing... some calling this scaling, but spaming shield and Thargons are not scaling (besides why should a Thargoid not always give everything). You can see a huge lag when you are fighting them in multi crew.

After all that, there is still the Aggro change what it makes, harder to hit the heart in wings.
We were just the two of us,and I did not feel anything different about input lag from where we fought NPCs (in the same two of us).

i think you need to solo some and better a basilisk too. If you have done that on console, then try Wing again and multi crew, maybe you see the difference then. This is the reason why my Friends are not interested at them. I have fun with it in solo but i think there is still a massive potential left

We were in a Wing,a wing of two :) I basically knew the steps to do while my friend not so much and he got bored pretty quick because after the first heart extraction we had to do it all again until the last one and he said "what a crap mechanic" if you've read my first post in this thread I explain the reasons why,we are on PS4 using the controller.

Me.
The available effective weapons don’t suit my play style, far too many fixed not enough gimbals, and it hasn’t interested me enough to do more than dabble.

I did do an Interceptor just for the chance to have the bobblehead 'legally' - with @Bigmaec winged up to 'hold my hand' a bit - then the instance bugged and he couldn't shot the hearts anyway, but made some excellent impressions on the swarm :)
@Rat Catcher and I did some Goid hunting yesterday, he earned his heart by killing his first Interceptor 🥳

GG 'twas fun!

I was always against hurting them, but some time ago I killed a lot of interceptos during the Comunity Goal and now I have (my commander has) a huge remorse. Mainly because I did it for the rewards. If Odyssey will bring an oportunity to friendly interactions with Thargoids I will became a Thargoid ambassador... until I change my mind once again.
I like roleplaying and my commander is thorn apart ;)

Never attacked one for RP reasons and because I don't want to spec for one with unicorn weapons.

Other than the crashed one near Jameson's ship I have not even seen one of the little scouts. Have annoyed a few when trying to take samples but that is as far as I go. My character feels it is us who are the aggressors and this was confirmed after discovering Jameson's logs.

I'm not an AX veteran, sure, I've splatted numerous scouts, but never an interceptor. Why? Having done the homework on AX combat, and thus learning that the correct tools for the job are guardian rail-gun like gauss cannon weapons, which don't have enough ammo to kill an interceptor, meaning you have to synthesise ammo on the fly, I was like am I frack going forraging for mats to burn as ammo. And that was it, scout splatter extraordinaire, particularly in my alts, but I'm wondering who else doesn't hunt the big bugs and what are their reasons?
I got started with something else, but now use the gauss. I have 3. I never have to synthesize.
I practice with the flak sometimes but I've never gotten good at it.
I swap fa-off/on as appropriate.
It is a steep learning curve, but once you learn it, it works. I had to make several tries before it clicked. Now its like riding a bicycle.

For me it's the prep to get a decent build to stand up to the task, I've never had the patience for engineers overall. Besides, they don't bother me, so I won't bother them. :)

If you like to make it up to them, they prefer occupied escape pods. :)
So instead of feeding that dubious Dorn in Colonia (why does he request pods for himself you could have easily delivered to any S&R days before), maybe you can earn a spaceport or flight-carrier bubblehead instead. </duck>

And no, I do not fight Thargoids, don't like to be the one they mop the space floor with.
And as long as you keep the burning megaship between you and them, they are harmless.

Honestly, though, I've no interest in the guardian grind and the synthesis stuff. Guns without enough ammo...as a mechanic...is beyond stupid. No thanks.
I get mad having to rearm the Corvette after just two CZ runs.

Sorry to snip a small section of your post, but this is precisely why there should be a "magazine" module for ships that have dedicated military compartments for extra ammo stowage. If your going to wade into a war, in a ship that is supposedly a military variant, then you should be able to carry significantly more ammo than one that doesn't come with military slots.

Personally, I love AXCZs and scout stomping with gauss and AXMC but I do struggle with solo interceptor combat. I've stopped a couple of hearts, but never enough to complete an interceptor kill before my ship is in tatters. But I'm not giving up trying.

Dunno, the whole idea about 2 highly developed life forms killing each other with rockets and caustic goo is sooo 1920's. I'm happy they are optional content, as they don't exist in my game.

Sorry to contradict, but every weapon you carry around is a military variant, AFAIK.
There are no "hunting lasers" with just a two-shot ammo clip to bring down a low temperature deer (or void elephant).

And therefore each available weapons is supplied with the maximum possible amount of ammunition, IMHO.
It serves no other purpose than to kill others, be it a sentinent flower or lurking bucaneer or baby seal. :^/

Providing easily reloaded weapons through repurposed cargo slots to players only leds to one outcome, torpedoes and cannons are becoming the favorite tool of assasinations.
But then perhaps the T9 will become the gunship. 1 minigun, 5 month of uninterrupted salvos.

Sorry, if I still played ED I'd be up my ass trying to catch up the gear race to take part in just the basic gameplay. I don't think I'd have any time spare to grind even more to do more pewpew with other skinned enemies but requires entirely new sets of equipment. Apart from that what would be the point?
