Making the unique Double-Engineered Missile Rack available via Tech Brokers is a great idea - hopefully other unique modules will come later too

From the latest CG

The module is a fully engineered lightweight and high capacity Class 2 Seeker Missile Rack with thermal cascade. It was offered in October 3306 to pilots who helped defend the Eurybia system from Imperial forces. At the time, the Empire suspected Liz Ryder of supplying weapons to the NMLA terrorist group.
Ms Ryder has announced that her aim is to make this specially modified weapon available for purchase at all human technology brokers.

I'm liking this addition to making the unique module available to CMDRs again.

Making the other unique modules also unlockable will be a very cool improvement! The ones I can remember:
  • Class 5 FSD with Increased Range and Faster Boot Sequence
  • Detailed Surface Scanner with twice the normal probe coverage
  • Point Defence with Focused and Lightweight
Edit: Bruce has told us that he's keen to do similar with the other unique modules, as in make them not time-locked and therefore available again, perhaps on a rotation of availability basis.

Tech Broker reward
The reward for this week's goal works differently to how you may expect. Rather than unlocking the item in outfitting, you directly purchase the module with the mined resources. You can get two by obtaining double the resources.
can we get three by obtaining triple the resources ?! or is it a max of 2 ?
You can purchase additional rewards by increasing the amount of resources each time.

Warning do not buy from fleet carrier for this CG!👀
Greetings commanders,

Today we launched the first mining community goal since the release of Fleet Carriers and we’re happy to see you are as excited to take part as we are! We’ve noticed some confusion regarding the mechanics of the goal which we would like to address so you can get right back to earning that fantastic reward!

Purchasing materials from Fleet Carriers
The latest Community Goal is a mining community goal, which means your materials need to be mined in order to count. If you purchase these materials from a Fleet Carrier then it will not contribute.

We hope this helps you in completing the goal and earning your unique missile rack!

That's the way to go! They never said such modules would remain exclusive for that CG, and even better - that they would never become later available at Tech Brokers. They would eventually become a huge burden on our module storage so they had a plan for it.

Personally I love how they can make something new permenantly available through a CG.

This does mean that it will save a bunch of mats to engineer missiles though. If they make it so you cant change the experimental, that may make it a bit less of a "direct upgrade to normal engineered missile rack in most ways and costs almost no mats"

How about a confused and aggravated open letter to oppose this?

I plugged it into a template and got this:

Dear FDev, on behalf of the entire Elite Dangerous community, I would like to thank you for literally destroying CGs for everyone. I blew through my entire year's vacation and skipped my Aunt's funeral to ensure I got high enough in the CG to acquire the double engineered seeker missile, only for you to tear the heart out of my chest today with this announcement anyone can unlock them now at a broker.

I've supported this game since I first dreamed of it in 1984 and cannot even describe the confusion and betrayal I feel now. Why did you do this to me?!

I've seen several YouTubers and streamers say pretty much the same, and soon we'll see the results of Reddit poll as well...
