This forum is full of drama for clickbait titles. Doomed I tell you, doomed.
I have prided myself on being an open and caring sort who to date has only ruthlessly attacked several hundred trading, pirate, police and other assorted vessels.

They set 'release' criteria where they reveal the con
They are idiots at RP, having Discord moderate them for racist comments (which is clearly wrong). If this leaked onto ED then again, inexcusable.
I think on that FD should have slapped them somewhat, but, did FD ever think of the consequences of FCs, FSD sizes etc?
Although its handholding, why can't FD equip new sidewinders with a fuel scoop (that you can get rid of if needed) so you always have a way out (well, two ways out).
Although it has its flat spots, this forum can get fun and spicy very quickly.

True, but it would have given them a lifeline if they self destructed and wound up back at the carrier.
It seems that those agitating for the "enslaved" and bans for the "slavers" should welcome additional hand-holding. The argument that "they didn't know about the freewinder option that would have rendered the whole scheme redundant" just means that they (the "enslaved" - or perhaps "zero hour contracted"?) should have been better informed.
No need to ban anyone for the scheme*, just make sure players know where to go to get help and this problem goes away.
*assuming that's what the bans were for - still haven't seen anything "official"?
Frankly, I find fdev actions preposterous (except galnet thing, that was the reasonable one). If somebody is stupid enough to dock unknown carrier without scoop - then they can only blame themselves. Punishing ppl for stupidity of others is just wrong.
Today I am going to playthrough the tutorials for the very first time.
I want to know what the new player experience/introduction is like.
I will be assessing if there is enough information 'in game' to prepare new Cmdrs for what is ahead? I have a sneaking suspicion that there is not.
if any of you fine and upstanding Cmdrs (RELSPI not included here) have played the tutorials lately, can you update me as to the above and save me the hassle?

It certainly suggests the tutorial is deficient if it doesn't cover the importance of fuel scoops and decent FSDs. If it does, well alarm bells should have been ringing.

You might find out that the tutorials are indeed decieving new players by portraying the game world as rather save and dump them right in open mode where they are completely unprepared for player interactions of any kind.

But.. that wouldn't work that way, right? If you pick the Freewinder (to get the default loadout) you would be back in the bubble.
