I'd say so.
So that Kumo Burger Discord and franchise website was a mistake then?

Maybe that gave them a reason why they'd want to punish them. Frontier can do pretty much all they want, even looking up commodity prices on EDDB is against the CoC.
That being said, I missed the racism on Discord part of this story so I won't comment on that but it obviously changes things.
Mainly commentary on The Pilot's vid I guess:
The comments in the articles are pretty uninformed too."[...] we’re pretty confident in calling a spade a spade: This was essentially slave labor."
Again, I strongly disagree with that statement. But it's all about click bait in online journalism, right?
Slef-destruct and you've maybe lost one hour of "work" in a video game you play for fun. Words really have no meaning anymore.
Bring em on I say. They won't find anything amiss round these parts, right?I would like to make a rather important point.
If Polygon have found this instance of alleged 'slaving' in game and racism on discord, they will sure as hell now be creating forum accounts in an attempt to find even more fodder for their second rate reporting.
Gnosis?Bring em on I say. They won't find anything amiss round these parts, right?
Right?

The ADS?
Open Letters?
The server freaking out every day at 17 pm (ok, they did once, but beware of the beginnings!!)
This forum is full of drama for clickbait titles. Doomed I tell you, doomed.

Although its handholding, why can't FD equip new sidewinders with a fuel scoop (that you can get rid of if needed) so you always have a way out (well, two ways out).

As far as I know, that wouldn't have helped here. Didn't these players change their loadout according to the instructions of the FC owners?

It seems that those agitating for the "enslaved" and bans for the "slavers" should welcome additional hand-holding. The argument that "they didn't know about the freewinder option that would have rendered the whole scheme redundant" just means that they (the "enslaved" - or perhaps "zero hour contracted"?) should have been better informed. As far as I know, that wouldn't have helped here. It certainly suggests the tutorial is deficient if it doesn't cover the importance of fuel scoops and decent FSDs. If it does, well alarm bells should have been ringing.
You might find out that the tutorials are indeed decieving new players by portraying the game world as rather save and dump them right in open mode where they are completely unprepared for player interactions of any kind.Today I am going to playthrough the tutorials for the very first time.
I want to know what the new player experience/introduction is like.
I will be assessing if there is enough information 'in game' to prepare new Cmdrs for what is ahead? I have a sneaking suspicion that there is not.
if any of you fine and upstanding Cmdrs (RELSPI not included here) have played the tutorials lately, can you update me as to the above and save me the hassle?
True, but it would have given them a lifeline if they self destructed and wound up back at the carrier.
