Dream DLC! (meta wishlist data)

So the base game of Planet Zoo comes with 73 habitat animals, looking at the meta-wishlist's on this forum there are still dozens of animals left that are missing from the game that the PZ community really wants to see still! Nice list. Very nice collection. I am impressed at how balanced your list is.

Frontier said at the start they wanted bigger animals so when you zoom all the way out you can see them.hence meerkats did not make cut lol.

However you missed a list. Where is your exhibit list? Do you think you could come up with a few to add to this list? Each pack except artic has had one exhbit so what would you want to see?

Africa = elephant dung beetle with enrichment dung lol
Black mamba
Parsons chameleon
Leopard gecko
King baboon tarantula

Australia red back spider
Coastal Taiwan
Frilled lizard

Asia Philippines king cobra
Rat snake
Wolf spider
Chinese mantis
Coral snake
Philippine tarsier

Europe eyed ladybird
Hedgehog
Brown rat
House mouse

South america. Chairman lizzard
Hercules beetle
Pink fairy armadillo
Bullet ants
Lead cutter animals...ok this one might be too small. But attach a leaf no problem

Hope you like my ideas

Ah thank you, I really like that you put mammals in the exhibits! I think some fish OR water exhibits could be cool too if they ever decided to give us those 🤔

...Now all somebody has to do is make an aviary list for the game lol 🙄

Yeah it's the artic pack that didnt have an exhibit animal that I keep going back to. What reptile or insect or snake represents this region. The only thing I can think of is lemmings, hedgehogs and rodents like rats. And even then I am pushing it.

I just feel exhibits are neglected. And if all future dlc is 4 plus 1 exhibit animal this really widens the gap further. I would love to see going forward a 4 plus 2 per dlc or a unique pack just including half a dozen exhibit animals. Just to address this.

And I think and feel aquatic exhibits and aviary exhibits I would probably put in separate building region in my zoos. But I do like to put exhbit animal beside there native regional counterparts.

You know what we forgot..... sheesh. A NOCTURNAL PACK. for animals that need to be kept in the dark. Like tarsier or aye aye.

I think after the Southeast Asia Pack comes, the next best thing could be an Aviary Pack.

1. California condor
2. Bald eagle
3. Macaw (Scarlet or Hyacinth)
4. Sandhill crane or Japanese crowned crane
5. Kiwi
6. Mute swan
7. Vulture (Griffon or King)
8. Lorikeet

Don't forget slender lorises and maybe giant elephant shrews. They should add king cobra, alligator snapping turtle and an emerald tree boa for exhibits. Where would a platypus fit in?

Got to say that including the dromedary camel in the suggested Australia pack doesn't strike me as a very cool move, given that those camels are an invasive species here. They're a threat to Australian wildlife and ecosystems and do a lot of damage to rural communities, definitely not a welcome creature.

I totally hear your concerns. It was debateable, since the wild dromedary camel is extinct there really are no wild populations anymore...so I debated omitting them entirely from my list, or cheating a bit and putting them in the Oceania section (since the largest population of dromedary on Earth live in Australia).

If anything the dromedary could highlight the effects of invasive species around the globe and it could utilize the info boards that focus on invasive species.

It is not the Dromedary’s fault it got introduced by stupid humans. Invasive species are always the fault of humans, be mad at them.

You've misunderstood the source of why I don't like the suggestion to include this camel in the Australian pack. I am aware it is the fault of humans, not the animal. It's just existing. It doesn't know or care what impact it has on the world, and that's fine. It's our responsibility as humans to monitor and manage that.

That's why I don't want the dromedary camel in the proposed Australian DLC. I don't think it's in the spirit of Planet Zoo's educational goals--and would frankly do a disservice to the diversity of fauna that does still exist in Australia--to include a dromedary camel instead of, for example, any endangered Australian species that could instead have that place in the roster and be given a global platform. It leaves a bit of a sour taste in my mouth the thought of "here's some Australian animals: x, y, and an invasive species that's actively causing the decline of x and y", you know?

That would be like including rabbits or foxes in an Australian DLC, and I would prefer Frontier focus on celebrating and sharing about the state of Australia's irreplaceable endemic species that are under threat. It's a small gesture overall but not an insignificant one.

Those are some excellent choices for animals for Planet Zoo

I think you're right, I cheated a bit and I was hoping nobody would notice lol

I wasn’t saying I want them in this pack, I just hate it when people are mad at animals for stuff humans caused... But I did understand the point you were making, it just sounded hateful towards mr.camel

it just sounded hateful towards mr.camel

I mean, the thing about a camel is that it wouldn't know or care if I was hating it on the internet either. Not that I'm actually doing that (because, like you said, it's pointless to see a camel as personally responsible) and I do totally understand frustration of people blaming animals for human-created ecological problems, but in this thread, I was kind of talking about Frontier hypothetically adding dromedary camels to the game in an Australian pack. So my annoyance was really directed at a choice that people could make to put an animal where it doesn't really belong (again, in the case of camels in Australia) and not the animal itself. Seems like we're both on the same page now, though!
