I am now less than 15 jumps from Colonia!!
I think it should be renamed The Baboon Nebula.
I was also messing around with my Holo-thingy and I think I'm Kevin Eldon now or Keith Allen.
Maybe Keith Harris? I don't know. I need to get to Jacques bar and settle KnezBP's tab.

OMG!! Just made it to Jacques. I'd totally forgotten about the Guardian bits n bobs I was carrying. I've been interdicted about five times now. Freaked me out after the sedentary life of Exploration.

You'll never approach a landing more gingerly than when your hull is at 2%. Except maybe when it's at 1%.
I noticed the Cobra's paintwork was back to being nice and fresh after I spent the whole trip to Colonia getting it down to 56%. Perhaps because of a recent rebuy incident. I thought I could get it back down by crashing into Jaques Station but all that did was almost destroy my hull and get me another rebuy. That's a shame. I spent a lot of time making my ship look like it had been to war.
I also didn't realise that silent running came with an increased risk of temperature damage.

Just bought myself a Krait MkII. I've kitted it out for Mining/Passenger/Kill missions. I may have to go to bed.
That's a good idea. I might buy a defensible ship specifically for passenger missions.

Not that I'd be aware of - but that's only 11 kly through a dense group of stars. Go up (or down) to ~ 1200 ly from the plane and turn on jet cone boosting in the route plotter. You'll be there in one hour.
Or die in the attempt.

Assuming your current game is not tied to Steam or Epic, that is.
I've never tried jet cone boosting but I've seen it in the galaxy map. What's that, again?
One hour does seem very optimistic though. I'm thinking 'die in the attempt' would be the most likely end scenario.

Might as well max out the Fed rank too before all the burning stations disappear.
Traded up all the grade 1 and 2 manufactured materials, and after doing 'several' salvage sorties into the burning stations they're back up to 50% full.
I think after max Fed rank I'll get her to max out engineering mats.

Jet cone boosting is a lot of fun, nowhere near as super dangerous as it sounds(*), and can get you places Really Fast. I’d highly recommend it It really adds some fun game play to exploring, in my opinion.
It does knacker the FSD after a while, so it’s a good idea to have an AMFU with you to repair it occasionally. Though this isn’t an issue if you are local-ish to the bubble.
(*) Except at white dwarfs. Give them a miss.
