What is an animal that you really want but you're not sure is making it?

I desperately want a European pack. Look how cute European badgers are ! I've never seen them in real life...
Red deer, red foxes and wild boars are great too. A 4+1 pack would be fine, but I don't know if it will make it because of people thinking they're not exotic enough :(

Yes please, we have them here, in Czech republic in Zoo Hluboká, what amazing and cute animals.

They also have alot of other european animals, such as red deer, red foxes, lynxes and others.

We have them as well...

By the way, speaking of animals I'd love to have in game but probably won't make it... your avatar reminded me of Megabats (had to search for the english translation). Gosh, how much I love them and would want them in game. But I'm afraid the chances are non-existent.
I really hope if there’s an aviary pack they’ll include At least one megabat

New Zealand is rarely on anyone's radar beyond Lord of the Rings and our recent Prime Minister, and even then we're mostly "famous" in America, not as much Europe.

There's also the fact that the kiwi would be the most nocturnal animal in the game thus far if they added it. Unlike the aardvark, giant anteater, and clouded leopard, kiwi literally never come out in the day. Personally this doesn't bother me much - I think it's easy enough to simulate a nocturnal house in the game to "fake it" - but it seems like the kind of thing Frontier would be a stickler about.
Maybe they can make it’s hard shelter requirement higher than other animals? Or add a new mechanic?

By « we », which country do you mean ? I visited 3 zoos in France, 1 in Germany, 1 in Martinique, 2 in Singapore, 1 in Japan, and I’ve never seen any badger ! I must be very unlucky ahah.

About my avatar, they are indeed megabats, also called flying foxes/fruit bats/pteropus. It’s a photo I took at Singapore zoo, where they have a big walk-in aviary with lots of them, it’s really amazing, they’re incredible animals ! I would want them in the game too, but as you said, chances are thin…

I live in North germany. We often differ between "zoo" and "Tierpark" and we got badgers mainly in Tierparks. They are ofte fast asleep at day though. ^^

I feel like Frontier's plan with European species is to sneak them in whenever they fit, just like we saw it with the Arctic pack and the Aquatic pack.
We have two building sets based on Europe, a fair amount of European foliage and several scenario levels taking place in Europe. It is mostly when it comes to animals, Europe isn't well represented in the game. Otherwise Frontier clearly hasn't forgotten about Europe, they are just not selling the whole continent at once.
Depending on how many DLCs we get, I wouldn't be surprised if we get a Taiga pack at one point instead of a North America and a Europe Pack. This theme could fit in a lot of the most wanted and logical choices from these two continents.

Great idea with taiga DLC.
Or 3 continents if you add up Asia.

Like:
1. Puma
2. Moose
3. Wolverine
4. Lynx
5. Red deer
6. Ibex
7. Amur leopard
8. Przewalski horse

Which would probably leave only beaver from the most wanted species from that biome.

Hmm, I see. Maybe I'm living too much in my own bubble here, because honestly, I thought if even I know a bird without googeling it, it must be known by anyone :D
Honestly, I find the Kiwi quite atractive as a bird species. And while I don't have high hopes for a nocturnal pack unfortunately, giving them a spot there would be perfect.

In fact, obviously New Zealand sneaked into my heart regarding bird species, because one of the few other bird species I know and would love to have in game are Keas. If they were in a bird pack, I'd get pretty excited, tbh.
Oh, people know about the kiwi, it's just that the country itself isn't usually represented anywhere (it isn't even on the map on the old Risk games). An aviary pack would be the perfect time to introduce New Zealand species, as pretty much all of our native fauna is flying birds. The kea, the kereru (NZ pigeon), the tui, the kaka, to name a few middling-sized animals, plus all our smaller birds, such as the bellbird, NZ fantail, and kakariki. We also have plenty of beautiful plants, such as the ponga, cabbage tree, pohutakawa, and kowhai, and Maori architecture and art is some of the most beautiful in the world I think in terms of scenery.

I mean, a New Zealand-themed pack is certainly doable in the right circumstances, but it is very niche. I have a theory regarding DLC though, which is that this year we're going to get the big 7+1 animal packs, then aviaries in December with a broad range of species, and then next year we'll get specific additions to the birds (such as an Australian Bird Pack, or a Seabird Pack, or a Bird of Prey Pack, something like that), with support ending in 2023. I don't think there'll be room for New Zealand among any of it, of course.

But hey, I'm not disappointed by that. It is what it is.

I quote myself from an old thread where I proposed a Forest DLC which would bring many of the requested North American and European animals.

2) Forest
  • Iberian or Eurasian lynx
  • Moose
  • Wolverine
  • American or European beaver
  • Red deer
  • Artic fox
  • Raccoon
  • Fire salamander (E)

We would still need to fit somewhere else the puma, sea lion and alpine ibex, but those could come in other packs that would bring animals from different continents.

I desperately want the Pallas Cat to make it into the game, just as NZFanatic wants the Kiwi.
But as the thread title states it, I doubt, it will make it.
Besides Lynx, Caracal/ Serval, and ocassional asks for the ocelot small cats seem like they aren’t garnering the same interest as smaller canids. I wonder why but I honestly think a lynx and caracal is all I need so I’m part of the problem lol. The Pallas Cat is a good pick though

Edit: and cougar also (they’re technically a small cat)

For me, the animals I want that feel the least likely are the little ones. Cloud rats, civets, genets, porcupines, skunks, ferrets, prairie dogs, marmosets, etc. Smaller mammals to help "fill the gaps" between the larger habitats.

Most of the other animals I'd want have SOME shot at getting in the game. Capybaras, for example. Sure, the SA pack passed them by but there's an off-chance that they might wind up in-game at some point. Unlikely but still a possibility... And more of a possibility than some of the other ones I listed above.

I'm voting for the Bobcat. Such a strange cat

Excuse my ignorance, but isn’t a bobcat just a lynx adapted to warmer climates in the America’s? What makes them unique from the other lynx species? ( I’m genuinely asking I don’t mean to be rude)
Well, it's not that it's very different or unique. It's more of me seeing one that lived in the area multiple times and the fact that I have a few friends that have had experiences with it around
